She thought he was pretty impressive, she is staring at him in the picture below.
Turn around is fair play, Evan was staring at Lily and her daughter in the picture below.
Rhoda sent a few more pictures of her and Emily's ride yesterday at Jubilee State Forest. Below is Ruby riding in the saddle bag.
And Valiant posing for some cowboys. There were a couple men working on a horse when the girls first pulled up.
Valiant came out neighing so Emily made him lay down to mount. They got some stares big time.Rhoda sent this update on Rosalie today:
First ride here! Nice to finally have my helmet. She walked, trot and cantered wonderfully. She did better turning as well. Do you think she's thinner though? I let her graze on some grass outside the pasture this time. Worked on getting her to pick up her feet so the farrier is not so scary . Sorry no one could take photos of me riding, I'll see if Lee can come next time.
Love
Rhoda
It is hard to tell if she has lost weight in the pictures but I don't think she looks terrible. She has only been there a week. Phil brought the truck over for Emily this afternoon. She is leaving in the morning, driving down past St. Louis and bringing back a mare to breed to Valiant. The owner is paying Emily for transportation. She will be taking the new trailer for this trip and was busy hooking it up this evening. Mark and I were invited to Denny and Cathy's for rotating potluck. They live near Tremont and we were pleased to find that it only took us a half hour to get there. We had a great time and the meal was delicious. There were 9 of us for dinner, we were joined by Benj & Kristin, Al & Jan, and George.
