Playdate with Braelyn, Taegan and Kensley

For some reason the cold doesn't seem so depressing when there are grand children around, happy girls that want to play. Dress up is always fun at grandma's house especially when they find the costumes from the horse shows. Taegan found one head dress of one the horsemeister dancing maids and it just matched her shirt.
Braelyn found lots of pretty Christmas bows and the sparkly horse shirt.
Baby Kensley just cooed and smiled at her big sisters.
Braelyn found baby Jesus and the basket and made sure he was covered well but then thought baby Kensley would fit too.
Baby Kensley is so patient with her big sisters, happy where ever she is put.

Mom came over and had to play with the baby, then Karin came for a short visit before heading out into the cold to work the mares. Emily had to drive to Bloomington for her final doctor visit for her arm and was given the good news that it is healed and ready for work. When she got home we put her right to work plowing the drives again. Sarah Reinhard got stuck today trying to get out to the main road. The winds caused the snow to pile up in drifts across the roads. Once that was done Emily was sent to Big R to pick up grain, 12 bags of 50 pounds each bring them home and  unload them into 2 different barns. Mom invited her over for dinner but after dinner she was right back at work bringing Anna in and doing the night time feeding. We are SO glad she is back to work. Killian was worked today. Emily reports he is so much like a naughty young boy. He knows he is not allowed to bite but will put his muzzle on her arm, if she doesn't react his lips move until she does react. Kind of reminds me of how Spark use to tease us girls. Boys will be boys! We bought a mane tamer for Killian in hopes it will stop him from rubbing his mane off. Emily needed to braid his mane and forelock up before putting it on and expected him to stand quietly in the middle of the arena with no halter or bridle while she did this. Each time he would decide to move she made him work. It didn't take long for him to realize standing still was much better than moving away.
