Diamond Lake Michigan Day 1

The sun slowly rising out of the mists on the lake this morning so impressed mom she made me run get the camera.

The promise of a beautiful day was fulfilled.  We had bright sunshine and warm weather. After breakfast we took the brand new pontoon boat out to explore the lake.

Above Molly is checking out Jace while below Israel is all bundled up against the wind.
David let the Braelyn, Addyson and Jack take a turn driving Ken and Darlene Hoerr's new pontoon boat. Thanks goodness we were in lots of open water and there wasn't much traffic on the lake yet.

We found a nice shallow part, perfect for taking a refreshing swim.

They had a lot of fun swimming under and around the boat. David decided to swim all the way back to the house. After we were all refreshed and heading back we saw a couple of swans near an inlet so took the boat near for pictures.
The lake house has lots of toys for children and we seem to have a lot of children. Below they are playing T-Ball.
The jet ski was the next toy tried. Anna drove while Phil wake boarded. Braelyn wanted a ride too.

When they got back David and Stephanie took off on it for a tour around the lake. When they returned Sarah wanted to try to wake board so David was the driver and Stef the watcher. Below is Sarah's first attempt.
And her second attempt was successful!

Next they took a bike ride into town taking the bike trailers. There were 4 in those bike trailers all sound asleep when they arrived back at the lake house. Jace had already been picked up by the time the camera arrived. What a great way of giving naps.
Rhoda, Emily and Lee arrived, the last car to make it. Rhoda and Lee were going to head out on the jet ski, below David is showing her how to start and run it.
Ben, David, and Philip all got in on the instructions.
While they were helping Rhoda, Israel was having fun with his mom.
And Emily was cuddling with Jace.
 And off they go.
The picture below is our neighbor, Patty. She is really a wonderful lady, she lets the children play in the sand on her beach and best of all helped us get internet here at the house. Thank you Patty!
Sarah, Karin and  Emily were the cooks tonight. We had a wonderful chicken stir fry for supper with lots of fresh vegetables. For dessert home baked cookies. Mom brought a video she wants us all to watch called Gifted Hands by Ben Carson. A great first day! Thanks so much Ken and Darlene for sharing your wonderful vacation home with us.
