Pleasant

No walk today. Instead when Mark went up to feed the cat I made him some protein pancakes made out of 2 eggs a little milk and a little pancake flour. Those were topped with cream cheese, a spoonful of strawberry jam and rolled up then sliced and served with sausage links and a couple eggs over medium.

He dribbled a little maple syrup over the pancake and said they were delicious. After breakfast Ruth and Fedi invited us over to check out Steven's new abode. He bought a 5th wheel that has the polar package with heated tanks and an underbelly.
It is HUGE. It has two opposing slides in the living area and another in the bedroom. We both marveled at how spacious those opposing slides make this camper.
After checking it Fedi showed us the carving tool Steven built. The carver sits on the bench and the piece of wood to be carved is held by the piece Fedi is holding.
Below are a few of Steven's pieces in progress
Next we went inside to see some of Fedi's carvings. I'm not sharing them here as he is making them as gifts but they are really special and who ever ends up with them are going to be pretty pleased. He really should open up a shop and sell some of his work. They are all one of a kind and hand carved. The picture below are just some of his carving knives.
Fedi and Mark are holding a couple of mallets Steven made.
Below Fedi is holding a piece of wood he has had since he was a junior in high school over in Romania. He had to walk through the woods and this was his weapon.
On the way out I had to stop to admire their massive wood pile.
They really are prepared for a hard winter. They have at least 4 wood burners to keep burning, one in their main living room, one in Ruth's sunroom, one in Irma's apartment, and one is Steven's 5th wheel (that one is arriving tomorrow.)
When we left there we went straight to Joan's to put the slide out and turn on the fridge of the camper going out this afternoon.
Mark left then to go drive to Princeville to up the steel siding for the garage. We used the tractor to get it off the truck and onto the fork lifts of the tractor.
He took it down to the garage and slid it off the fork lift then of course had to open and check out a piece.

I had to leave then to meet the man renting the camper. When I got back supper was made, or at least heated up. We had left over meat loaf, left over broccoli, salad and fried potatoes.
After supper we went to work on the camper table, replacing the top.

It turned out ok for our first attempt.,
Not perfect but usable and much better than what it was. It was cold and foggy this morning but the sun broke through and for a couple hours today it was pleasant outside.
