Is It An Angel
The texts were flying in this morning but I wasn't looking at my phone, Mark and I were watching the message David gave at Roanoke yesterday morning and it was powerful about knowing God. He read from Isaiah 45 and Philippians 2:5. If you would like to watch this message click HERE. Diane called just as it was over and I answered her call before looking at the texts. She was calling about those texts. They have decided Joan will drive the wheel chair van home in a couple weeks, Ruth and Fedi will fly in stay down for almost a week and then fly home with mom. I will be needed to drive the wheel chair van down to Belleville, IL on Friday November 7th to bring mom, Ruth and Fedi home. There was so much talk about the flying for mom that when she woke up this morning she was glad she was still in Gulf Shores. Joan sent the video below:
Last night we were talking with Spark and Rhonda about their trip and Rhonda told us about the guardian angel that visited them and kept watch during their trip. This being showed up on the first night airbnb with Marvin and Gale. I believe it was Gale who took the picture as she is not in the picture. If it was Gale that took the picture she never saw it when taking the picture and no one else saw anything in the sky that night.
It wasn't until they looked at the picture that they saw it hovering over them. So is it an angel? They had a great trip but if it IS one it isn't a very flattering picture. Today was a rest day for me. No hurry to meet at mom's to walk. I needed to get a bale moved in for the 2 Gypsy mares and asked Mark to bring one while I kept the mares from running out of the paddock.
They were glad to see the bale coming and glad to start eating as soon as the bale was dropped.
Once that was done Mark went back to work on the soffit job he is doing on the garage.
After finishing with that he showed me the color of the siding that is ordered. He is determined to make that garage match the barns.
On Saturday night I brought over a bunch of frozen packages of stew meat and put them in the crock pot all night long with seasoning believing I was going to add that to the pot roast. Instead I ended up cooking the beef short ribs so the stew meat was put in the fridge. This morning I decided to make beef stew and started boiling that meat in beef broth and seasonings then adding carrots, potatoes, onions and celery, a couple tablespoons of corn starch was used to thicken it. By the time I was done adding everything it was a very full pot.
While that was simmering it was time to start working with the weanlings. Today I wanted to get a video of Disco, Dancer's colt. Mike came to help. This was the first time this colt has ever been led around.
He really is a good looking Friesian stud colt. He has a very good mind, wants to please, has the mega hair genes and will be tall. He is for sale $8000.00 and will be someone's dream come true.
He walked pretty well to the round pen where I got some video of his movement before leading him back. Below is that video.
Mike decided to work with Dahlia, Rosalie's filly, the one with the attitude. She wasn't happy until she found out he had carrots. She loves carrots.
We were both pleased by the time he quit. Both foals are doing well. All 4 foals have wonderful minds. Below they have Mike and his carrots surrounded.
Below he is working with Dahlia.
She too is for sale. She is 7/8ths Friesian and 1/8th American warmblood and is also for sale $8000.00. She will make a wonderful brood mare, will throw the mega hair and will also be tall as Rosalie, her dam sticks at 17 hands. I came back to the house and as soon as the beef stew was cooled transferred it into containers, labeled them and put them in the deep freeze.
They will make an easy meal some cold morning. The apartment booked for today, Anna came over to restock everything and this evening I took the golf cart up to turn the lights on for the guests coming in. They arrived after dark. It really was a relaxing day.
