It was another chilly morning. I work both a sweat shirt and a water proof wind breaker as I drove the golf cart up to feed the weanlings. Sally, Jewel and Missy came up to see if I had any grain for them too.
They don't need any but think they deserve at least a handful of that treat just for being here as riding horses. Of course the Gypsies saw them getting a treat and started nickering for theirs then Evan came galloping up just in case I would forget him. Valiant doesn't beg, he KNOWS he is getting some. At 7:30 am I took the golf cart over to the dumpster just in case Ruth would show up for the walk but she didn't. I left for the Berean office at 8:00 am. We had a very good morning there. Bruce and Leilia were back from Arizona, just in time for the cold damp weather. Bruce went right to work on the postage machine while Leila read letters with Kathy. Marvin mentioned he was SO glad to have letter readers back.
See all those boxes up against the wall in the picture above? They are all gone in the picture below. Ray came and used a knife to flatten them then took them out to be recycled. We were all thankful to see him.
Shirley L brought a lemon dessert today for our treat. It really was delicious and some of us even needed to have seconds just to make sure our taste buds weren't tricking us with the first one. I stopped at the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and studies going out today. It was sprinkling rain all the way home. Today is just not very pleasant, cold and damp. I could hear the pounding of nails when I got home. Impressive that the EB Builder workers were working today as it was sprinkling rain and cold most of the day.
Mark left for his doctor appointment. I sat down to read a book but ended up taking a nap but just a short one. I was out working with the weanlings when he got home.
They will need another round bale tomorrow. I am a little disappointed that their bale only lasted 2 weeks but thankful they are all doing well. They were fed before going back to the house to heat up some potato sausage soup for our supper. After eating I took the golf cart over to check the progress on Mike's new barn.
Amazing how quickly it is going up. There was a nice pile of scraps.
I took 2 of the ends of the posts as those make good stands for campers and also brought home some little pieces to start the fire tonight.
Love feeling the warmth and hearing the snap crackle pops of the fire.
