CampFire Weather

We had an uneventful morning, waking at 5:00 am, enjoying coffee, reading and listening to music. Mark went for a walk and when he got back I made breakfast. We left for church at 9:05 and ended up in front of mom's wheel chair van as we pulled into church. Joan must have left right after us. Mike Kaisner had the morning message on Proverbs 1 and pretty much the entire book of James but focused on James 5. If you would like to listen to this message click HERE. Caleb Platter had the afternoon message on Haggai 2. Click HERE to watch that. After church the apartment needed to be cleaned as we had someone booked for today and were going to arrived by 3:00 pm. Mark grilled hamburgers for dinner. I fried up a pound of bacon as one of the toppings while he was grilling. Ralph and Jamie stopped in and brought a couple of guests. We celebrated Zion's birthday. Zion got 'real' cowboy boots as her gift.

Now she really IS a horse trainer. Below she is wearing her brand new cowboy boots while she gives Riley a ride on Missy. Sarah took the girls riding on Missy and sent back the pictures.

Of course they needed to stop and play with Madiera's filly.

David decided to camp out tonight with his children while Stephanie is in Washington with her siblings. Benj and Karl also brought their families out. Karl is also camping with his children while Benj was just coming for the evening. Joan built a camp fire and after supper we pretty much all migrated out there for dessert of those sweet sticky s'more treats.
Nancy was helping Joan set up tents.
Below are few more pictures of the evening.

Rhoda had to work today so wasn't able to come but Lee was willing to take Nancy home. We also sent him home with some left over cake. It was a beautiful evening and with the cool weather the fire was much appreciated. Israel took his cousins into mom's garage to play with the kittens.
Anytime we were missing the little girls we would find them in the garage playing with the kittens. Those kittens are just about ready for their new home and are so adorable and well socialized. They are also litter trained so will make great pets.
