Diane was one minute late for our walk and we left without her. She called just as we reached Joan's house to find out where we were then caught up with us. Now that she is retired she just might be sleeping in. On our walk we stopped at Rachel and David's house to see his display. David told us this is his easy way of watching the grandchildren. They are fascinated with all the lights and movement.
Mackenson and Berlica stopped in to see it also.
After the walk and after breakfast I had errands that needed to be done in Peoria. Berean had been called off which gave me an extra free day this week to get the driving done. No work was done in the barn today. Tomorrow will be soon enough. The bathrooms need to be cleaned and the floors swept and scrubbed but not today. Like grandpa Meister used to tell us, "why do today when it could be done tomorrow." He would actually roll over in his grave if he saw me writing his saying that way. The real saying was "never put off until tomorrow what can be done today." Today really was a lazy day. The middle paddock needed another bale today. I waited until the mares went into the pond pasture and out of sight before opening the gate and driving in a new bale.
Mark wanted to take the road grader off the tractor and put on the log splitter. He needs a little help with that job but before I went over to help snapped the picture below of him getting the grader in place.
Once that was off it wasn't too hard to put the log splitter back on the tractor. He hired Mackenson to come help with the next job which was to take the spikes off the bale spear and put on the fork lift. Tomorrow he wants to use the fork lift to remove the pallets of ceiling tiles off the aluminum trailer so that can be taken out of the indoor arena. We will need to winterize the campers soon and once winterized they will be stored inside. This afternoon I listed to Jeff Waibel giving a message in Leo, Indiana. This message was on Isaiah 52:7-10 and Romans 10:13-15 Leo hosted college weekend. To listen to this message click HERE. The singing was beautiful but the message even better. If you have the time to listen you won't regret it.
A wonderful text message came in from the lady that owns Titus with the picture below.
He is the most beautiful horse I've ever owned. It is such an honor to have him💓 H
