No walk today but we forgot to tell Diane that we have not been walking on Fridays so she showed up at 7:30 am. I got to mom's about 7:45 am, Joan was meeting the man renting the motorhome before leaving for co-op so we just stayed there and visited. Ruth is up in Michigan fishing with some of the other Davidovics. After breakfast I left for Costco to order the cake for Ralph and Jamie's 30th anniversary party on Saturday. Jamie decided she wanted 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate cakes. Each serve 48 so there WILL be plenty of cake! Those will be picked up and paid for Saturday morning around 9:30 am. I walked out of Costco with just 2 chickens. One for mom's house and one for Diane. Today my kitchen really needed to be cleaned and organized. While working on the barn I just kept dropping things off in the kitchen and the dishes had stacked up too. After finishing that I went shopping on Amazon for triple bunk beds. I found some that are heavy duty, had good reviews, on sale AND free shipping.

Bunk Beds
Four sets were ordered, two for the bunk room and one each in bedroom 1 and 2. By the time those are installed the upstairs will sleep 20 without using the game room at all. Now I just need to order the mattresses. At 3:15 pm Diane went home and I stayed with mom. She decided it would be a good day to go out to eat. We left at 4:30 pm, picked up Mark and drove to the Bartonville diner. Of course mom and I ordered the walleye dinner to spilt while Mark ordered a Julian salad ( really a chef salad). mom wanted soup with her fish while I chose the salad.
About the time those were delivered Mark had moved his chair up and put his feet on mom's thinking it was part of the table. When mom told him, "that is my foot." He was shocked then said "I guess we are too old to be playing footsies." All 3 of us started laughing and just couldn't seem to quit.
Thankfully we were able to stop laughing by the time the food came.
Both were delicious and enjoyed. The baked potato was taken home as was most of the chicken and dumpling soup. The potato will be fried up with her egg tomorrow and she can have the soup for lunch. On the way home we saw that Sarah and Nolan's were hard at work at their new house. As mom has not seen the house we drove up to see it.
The girls were glad to show us around. We really enjoyed the deck.
Joan is gone this weekend so her daughter Sarah is going to spend the night at mom's. She arrived while we were still at Sarah and Nolan's house and called looking for grandma. When we got back to mom's house, there was Rhonda also looking for grandma. Sarah drove to Casey's to order pizza for herself, Mackenson and Berlica. I left then for home and had to explain to Mark why the bunk beds are now ordered. He agreed it was the right thing to do but would have preferred to know first before they were ordered. Now to find the mattresses.
