Bunk Beds

Diane made it home yesterday so this morning we walked. Ruth made it home this afternoon. Rachel and David are also home but Spark and Rhonda are still on their trip out West. We had a light breakfast after the walk then went over to keep moving the bunk beds upstairs at the barn. The boxes are so heavy we had to open a box and take about 10 trips up those stairs. Once the box was empty we took the box up, stuck that in another bedroom and then for the next full set those were pieces were put in that box. Once all 4 sets were upstairs we took a break and went back to the house to rest.  After about 10 minutes I decided to take the instructions and start organizing at least one set. I was driving over to the barn around 11:00 am when I met our airbnb guests. They were out visiting the horses. The gypsy mares were fascinated by their baby.

They have 2 horses at their house so the kids were familiar with horses and not afraid to feed them.
I introduced them to the horses before going over to the barn to start on the bunk beds. Once the pieces were organized Mark came with his tools to help put one together.
We made one simple mistake, the last bar on the bottom needed to be taken off and turned around so we could attach the ladders. Below Mark is mounting the last ladder.
Mark felt like that was enough work on the barn for the day. He wanted to keep working on his garage. Hopefully tomorrow we can get another put together before we forgot how we put this one together. Evan was locked in the pasture and out of his paddock so I could move a bale in today. None of the other paddocks needed any bales.  Our guest brought over a nice surprise before they left for their home in Colorado. Mark had to laugh, he knows I don't do well with live plants.
It is beautiful and I appreciate the bright yellow. I came inside at 5:45 pm giving me just 15 minutes to shower and get ready for church and made it with a few minutes to spare but Mark had to drive to church so I could get my hair dry and up. Ruth stayed with mom tonight so Joan could come to church. She and Diane drove together. Caleb Plattner had the message on Genesis 26, the chapter where Isaac and Rebekah moved to Gerar because of the famine. If you would like to watch that message click HERE.
After church we went to Culvers with Berlica and Mackenson and were joined by Nancy and Marie.  A neat video came in from Monica, the owner of a Lily x Valiant baby. Arargorn is doing amazing with his trick training. This is a wonderful way to keep a young one engaged and wanting to learn while waiting for him to grow up.
