Another Wonderful

We had another wonderful Sunday although it started a little rough. Everyone out here lost electricity around 8:30 am. I had already showered but Mark had not. Thankfully he was able to get the generator going for the hot water. Our guests in the foaling apartment had not yet had their showers and had to go to church without them as the electricity didn't get back up and running until almost 1:30 pm. As I was making the bed I bumped the lamb Amy gave me and it fell on the comforter.

There is a story about this lamb. I really wanted a live lamb when I was 6 years old and my grandma gave me a stuffed lamb even though I had asked for a live lamb. At the time I just didn't understand. I have no idea what happened to that lamb but Amy gave me this one to replace it. When the grand kids were coming to this house each Sunday I put it away as this one is not to be played with but since we have been eating at the barn these last 3 years it was put back out. Each time I look at this lamb I think of my LORD, Jesus. He came as the perfect lamb, the perfect sacrifice for my sins. When I look at this lamb there is no mouth and I remember Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb , so he openeth not his mouth.
This lamb was a gift but nothing compares to the gift of salvation. Thank you again Amy it is treasured. This morning while praying I was specifically praying that the Holy Spirit would fill the ministers with words that I need to hear and when Craig Stickling had the morning message on Matthew 5, the words just kept coming. It really was amazing and if you have the time you won't regret watching and listening by clicking HERE. Anni was taking Joan's place as teacher to the 3 year old class and was glad to have Nancy attend. She came up after Sunday School so happy with her paper. We went to thank Anni and saw Harvey and Dexter playing. I think Harvey was pushing Dexter so he could do a somersault.
This afternoon Mike Kaisner had the message and read out of Psalm 82 and St John 1. Click HERE to watch that. We didn't stay long after church as I needed to get the meat in the oven. We stopped at the barn on the way home to get the laundry and took that back to the house. The sheets were started while the oven was preheated. The supper was all finished cooking by 4:30 pm and we had a good group. No pictures we were just enjoying ourselves with feasting and fellowship. Our guests from the foaling apartment joined us and showed us some pictures and a short video. They LOVED the horses.

His wife Sandy took the pictures and video and gave me permission to share here. After supper almost everyone went out to the playground, the volleyball lights were turned on and the kids had a wonderful time playing on the playground before everyone called it a night. Rhoda and Lee took Nancy home. She is always glad to go with them. It was another wonderful Sunday.
