Paper Clips

We had another cold start to the day with the thermometer inching up over 25 degrees by the time of the walk. Joan is getting smart and started walking with her insulated snow pants. Rachel is now on her way to Gulf Shores, Alabama with her family. They will celebrate Thanksgiving down there this year.
Diane, mom, Emily, Rhoda, Sarah and I headed down to Meisters to work on the Berean stuff and were joined by Eva Jean, Shirley and a couple of Lisa's kids. The best part about today was the donation of papers clips that came in. We got 10 boxes of them giving us an extra thousand jumbo paper clips.
Below Eva Jean is putting them in our box to prepare for the day.
Sarah, Emily and Rhoda were put to work opening the mail and stuffing envelopes.
Mom, Shirley and Eva Jean were busy opening and reading the mail. Today Shirley was introduced to the computer work. She is going to be learning the program for when Diane and I are gone.
Below are a few of the 150 letters that came in today.

We broke at noon for lunch at Denny's.
After lunch, Diane, Shirley, Eva Jean, mom and I stayed to finish up labeling the Bibles and stuffing the envelopes. We filled one entire box of studies that will go out in tomorrow's mail. I'm sure Meister's mail man is probably thinking our office sends out a lot of bills, either that or this office single single-handedly keeps the Bartonville post office in the black.
Joan drove to choir tonight, the only problem with that was we stuffed 10 people in her 7 passenger van. Mom's motto is, 'there is always room for one more!'  Joan drove to choir the back roads. We had a good practice tonight. We learned 2 new Christmas songs.
Our piano player couldn't make it so Wayne Klopfenstein filled in. We sure have a great time at choir. I'm amazed everyone doesn't come.
I can't really end this post without writing something of what is going on in our country.  People in a town near St. Louis called Ferguson, Missouri are rioting. This is what was reported. A man named Bobby Brown was walking down the middle of a street. A policeman was called to that area as a store had just been robbed. The police officer asked Brown to move out of the middle of the street and Brown instead of obeying started attacking the police officer when he was still in the car. The officer realized Brown fit the description of the robber. Brown, who was a large man started hitting the officer and trying for his gun. A shot went off Brown started running away, the officer shot him in the back, Brown turned around and started charging at the officer. The officer said he feared for his life and started firing killing Brown. The grand jury met and decided the officer should not be prosecuted for doing his job. This set off the crowd of people gathering around the court house to start fires, break into stores, wide spread looting, burning of building and stores. The people of Ferguson are destroying their OWN town.
I can hardly believe people that live in America would act like this. Shame shame on them.
