Heavenly Music via Chamber Choir

We awoke to a frigid 16 degrees. It didn't take Mark long to get the fire going. My day started with  a statement from Sarah that caused my poor heart to start beating in a panic. She is looking into the fridge to borrow some eggs and quietly says, "is there a reason you have Valiant loose?"  Luckily I had just been admiring Valiant grazing in the field from my window. I was sure it must be Killian. If it was Valiant or Evan we would have broken boards and screaming stallions. Killian had just wandered over to where Rhiannon and Violet were and was standing at the gate. The picture below was taken of Killian and Emily last summer but this was right about where he was standing waiting to get in.
When I arrived he was asking if he could please please be put in with the girls instead of his own lonely paddock. Nope he had to go back, the girls share a fence line with Valiant. After he was settled I started cooking, breakfast first with Mark, then a second breakfast when Rhoda and Sarah came down from the barn then a breakfast casserole for tomorrow's company. A quick trip to Sam's Club and Aldi's for a few groceries then cleaning for company. Mark worked on the trails with the skid steer then helped in the house with cleaning windows until they were sparkling in the not so sparkly lack of sunshine day. I stopped work at noon to take Soul out to Middle Grove. Soul was loaded into the trailer but just as I was tying her to the front her colt, who had been in the paddock next to Killian's saw his mom getting in the trailer and jumped out of the paddock running as fast as he could to the trailer. Thankfully I got the trailer door shut before he could jump in. Weaning is the one part of this job I really hate. Soul is crying, Ripper, her colt is crying and my heart is breaking for them both. It didn't even matter that he hasn't nursed for a couple days, he still wants his mom and mom is frantic for him. He was put in with Violet, they can console each other on the loss of their mothers. Soul was taken to Middle Grove and once in the field took off running up and over the hills to reach the herd. It really only takes a day for the mare to settle down.
This evening the Chamber Choir came for Peoria's hymn sing. We arrived early to get a good seat and weren't the only ones that had that idea. Evie, Virginia and Jim had the same idea.
MaryAnn, Myrna and Mandy had the same idea. It was actually a good idea all the chairs filled up. The ushers kept bringing out more until there were no more to be brought out.
The kids below were going to sing a few songs for us too tonight.
They got to sing first.

The Chamber Choir has been singing together for 10 years. They were all in the young group about the same time. They came from Detroit, Bluffton, Phoenix, Peoria, Latty, Leo, Indianapolis, and Toledo. I may have missed a church or two. There were 2 missing but we would never have known.
The music that came out of those 18 people (the announcer isn't in the picture but joined them to sing) filled the room from end to end and up to the rafters. When in unison it was as 1 voice and the harmony was angelic. I think everyone there got a small taste of heaven tonight. Our ears were surely delighted tonight. Each and every singer was singing praise to the Creator, the Father, the Lion and Lamb of Judah, the Savior and our Lord with all of their heart, mind and soul.
If you want to hear them there is one more opportunity. Tomorrow they will be singing after the morning service in the Peoria church. There is plenty of room for all and everyone is welcome. This is the most talented group I've ever heard.  Best of all it's FREE and includes a FREE lunch. Bob and Jill are serving and there will be plenty.
