Indy Update

Below is an email from Emily Ricketts.
Hi Judy,
I am so impressed with Indy's attitude.  Whenever she sees something "scary" like a garbage bag in the field or the neighbor's mailbox she is actually more curious than scared.  She might jump a little when she first sees something and then I just sit there and she will walk up to it and sniff it and never look at it again.  I don't even ask her to walk up to it she just goes all by herself.  She is learning so fast.  She walks, trots, stops, and backs great.  We're still working on the canter.  She tends to just take off and go really fast and I'm teaching her to collect herself more.  Also she gets along great with the cows.  I usually have trouble with the horses chasing the cows through the fence but she gets along great with them.  Thanks so much!!  Emily
We love hearing updates and so much appreciate Emily training Indy for us. Karin worked with Indy on a special round pen method that taught her to be more curious than frightened. It worked! Indy is out of Ylse by Raven and in foal by Evan due March 2014.
