Vet Scheduling
Trying to figure out the best time to have Dr. Hoerr come for ultrasounds is just a bit tricky. Jenis came back in season and the only one really far enough along on Friday would be Cor. We have Paris, Sangria, and Prissy that were so close it was tempting to keep the Friday appointment as the next available would be Thursday afternoon but if we waited until then they all would be plenty far enough and would probably come in season before that date if they didn't settle. The Friday appointment was cancelled and the new one scheduled for Thursday afternoon a week from today.
After the walk Cor, Paris, Bunni and Sally were all teased with none of them showing. We would like get Bunni and Sally bred before hauling back to Middle Grove. It has been 19 days since Cor's last cover and 17 since Paris. Not all mares follow the average time between cycles so we start teasing at 18 days and continue for 10 days. If they don't come back in, more than likely are bred but we still don't advertise them until the ultrasound to confirm.
Mike emailed the picture below, he was out on the pontoon boat drove around the bend and came upon this awe inspiring sight:
Steven Marchal is coming today to work the boys, hopefully he will take them swimming then turn them loose in the field and I can try out Rachel's camera.
