Christmas Sing

Another great Sunday even though we awoke to cold and snow flurries. By the time we got out of church the roads were starting to get slippery and the snow was sticking pretty well. We only got about an inch but even though it is cold it is pretty and put us in the Christmas mood.
After church we thought we would be putting a new bale in for the weanlings but after checking their paddock they still had enough for a couple of days. That will need to be monitored but I think can make it until Tuesday.
Rachel had her annual putting up the manger scene singing last night. I've come to the conclusion she doesn't have a big enough house. We could hardly make it in the door and showed up early. She told us all to come at 6:30 pm so we show up at 6:20 pm to find we were almost the last to arrive. Karin picked up Nancy for the party.
We sang until we ran out of Christmas carols. Then came the meal. Rachel served a variety of hors d'oeuvres and desserts. She had many teenage boys filling plates faster than she could refill the table. After everyone had their fill the kids pulled out the Carbols games taking up most of the available floor space.
Dan and Susan offered to take Nancy home so Karin could keep playing games. Mark and I took mom home then I spent the rest of the evening finishing the book Sarah lent me called Divergent. This was a great book and the first in the series. I had to stay up until 10:00 pm to finish it as she was taking it with her this morning.
