When we reached the dam we saw both sets of geese families on the lake.
Above is the family with 7 goslings and below is the family with 6 goslings.
We really live in such a beautiful place. We stopped in to visit with mom, Aunt Jinnie and Karin before leaving for the Berean office. We had a lot of work there this morning.
We stopped at the Hanna City post office on the way home to drop off the Bibles and studies going out. After dropping mom and Aunt Jinnie off. I checked on Sheena and then Dancer and her colt. The colt is doing great. He has learned to nurse from just about every direction.
They were put away then I left for Kroger to order the chicken for the Sunday dinner. On the way home from there stopped at Aldi to get a few more groceries. Today we had a family arriving to meet the foals so all of the mares and foals were brought into the stalls. Sheena was also brought inside as she didn't want to be left out all by herself. As long as they were in the stalls the foals were all worked with. Above is Dancer's colt and below is Blueberry's filly.
Below is Rosalie's filly. She has a short lead rope on her halter on purpose. I want her to give to pressure and if she steps on the lead rope she will learn that without me being the bully.
I decided to take them to the big field to graze and as long as they were in the tall grass
took some new pictures for the horsemeister website. He is just 1 day old in these pictures. He had to check out the taste of that green stuff his mama was eating.Dancer took him into the outdoor arena so a video was taken as she took him out.

The family was supposed to arrive at 3:00 pm then sent a text that they would arrive by 3:30 pm and then another text saying it would be more like 4:00 pm. It was good for the mares and foals to be in the stalls during the afternoon. It is cooler in the barn and pretty much fly free. The foals all took naps while waiting for the company. When they arrived we didn't spend a lot of time with the horses but they got to pet each foal then took the golf cart over to see the 2 at the cabin. Finally we stopped to visit with Evan. He was the hit of the tour.
The girls got to ride on top of the golf cart back to their van and that was the highlight of the day! They left at 5:00 pm. The horses were all put out and the stalls cleaned before coming in to make supper. I didn't get the barn cleaned today so that is on my list for tomorrow. I was too tired to go out to work after supper.
