Aiken and Titus were put out early this morning but I didn't take the time to clean the stalls. Both Mark and I went to the barn around 6:00 am to start the cleaning. When I walked into the kitchen it was all cleaned up. Taunya did it! She was the cleaning fairy yesterday while the birthday boy and his friends were playing she was cleaning. What a wonderful surprise. That gave me plenty of time to get the game room cleaned and organized. The baseballs were collected from the batting cage and put in the bucket next to the batting machine. The couches were moved back into position and the ladder put away. The drywall had left lots of dust and some of it was ground into the rubber tiles so badly it wouldn't come up with the wet dry vac Mark used nor the broom I used. I ended up cleaning that on my hands and knees scrubbing but it came out great.

Nice Surprise
Mark swept the gym while I mopped the floors, cleaned the hallway and the 3 bathrooms. The soap dispensers were all refilled as were all the supplies. By the time we finished it was 8:30 am and time for breakfast. After breakfast the apartment was checked and swept for the guests coming in today then back over to the barn to wash windows. By 11:00 am the grass was dry enough to mow. Mark got that done in Evan's pasture.
The people renting the barn this weekend are renting it for their wedding. They wanted to arrive by noon and the mowing was finished earlier. They arrived a few minutes after Mark put the mower away. They are thrilled with the barn and the land. They decided to have their wedding in the East part of Evan's pasture and have set up chairs. I ran up to the stall barn and got the stalls cleaned from last night. Aiken was checked and any progress on her udder was now gone. It is almost flat again. I think she does not want to have this foal.
The horse trailer was backed up and the drop down ball was taken over to Joan's. The man renting one of the campers needed to borrow mine. He was supposed to come at 3:30 but showed up a few minutes early. He is a repeat customer and didn't need instructions.
Karin walked over and noticed Evan limping. I pulled him out of his paddock and he has a large crack in his hoof. We have had such dry ground for so long then lots of days of rain and mud. I'm hoping we can get the farrier here Monday. Rosalie also needs a trim.
Taegan walked over this afternoon so while I was doing laundry we played some games. At 3:00 pm I drove her home as she needed to get ready for her basketball tournament. Mark bought one of those really fancy adjustable heavy duty aluminum hitches and it was delivered today. He took it up to the truck and installed it. This locks into the receiver and has keys both for the locking mechanism into the receiver and the ball.
We must have hit the big time. This will save me lots of time and effort. I was continually changing hitches as the campers take the straight, the 2 horse takes a drop down and the stock also takes a straight. Mark and I went to the Bartonville Diner for dinner tonight. We were both tired of working and had both skipped lunch. Mark ordered a Reuben while I ordered the senior special walleye. Both came with a salad.
Mine came with a baked potato. Mark gave me a bite of his Rueben and I gave him a bite of walleye.
We took home one entire filet and the baked potato which will be fried up tomorrow morning for breakfast. This evening I checked Aiken's udder again but it is still flat. I'm leaving them in the paddock for the night and will check again in the morning.
