I was out the door at 6:30 am, first to check and grain the mares, then to move Cookie and Missy into the short shelter paddock. Aiken's udder was checked it is still as flat as ever and she is due in 3 days. She has been unhappy in the paddock with Cookie and Missy so today I went to the cabin field and brought Rosaleigh back. It has been 19 days since her last cover. She was taken right over to Valiant and kicked at him so not in season. She was put in with Aiken then back over to the cabin field to get Star. Star was put in with Rosaleigh and Aiken and finally it was time to get Titus. Then Dancer and her filly were moved to the cabin field and finally Sheena and her filly were moved to the cabin field. All of that took about an hour finishing at 7:30 am just in time for the walk. We stopped in at mom's after, Karin was just serving up breakfast and it was a deluxe breakfast. She found and bought duck eggs for this meal. After the going home to cook and eat breakfast I moved Rosaleigh in with Rosalie and Sheena and finally she was happy. They were turned out into the field so Mark and I could work on the paddock removing the old woven wire fence. .

Happy Horses
I was very disappointed to see Rosaleigh going over to where Evan was standing.
She walked up to him, turned her back in toward him and urinated. She went from not at all interested in the stallions to very interested, or maybe she just doesn't like Valiant. Bummer she is back in season. I did not cover her as Whiskey is still in and was covered this morning. I may use Valiant on her tomorrow if she really is in and ready to stand.
Mark wanted to get the road grader on the tractor so took the wood wagon into the barn and unhooked that then I helped get the grader on.
He got the drives done and also did the new barn.
After the paddock was done I went down to the pasture to call the mares in but both foals were sleeping. Rosalie's filly woke up, had a good roll. Rosalie thought that looked good and dropped to roll too.
They were put back in the paddock and I went back to work cleaning the mare pasture.
It was really hot out by the time I finished. The stalls were cleaned as long as I was working with the manure fork. Finally all of the horses are happy with their companions, there was no more neighing and pacing. Aiken is glad to hang out with Titus and Rosalie and Rosaleigh are happy to be back together. Sheena and Dancer are happy to be back in the cabin field and I'm happy that they are happy.
We both needed showers after working outside. We left for church at 6:00 pm. I took the Bible studies there to be graded but only had a chair to put the box on. I happened to mention to Gail about needing to buy something when she told me to look in the locked room in the basement for the cabinets that used to be there. After church I borrowed Joan's key, ran down to the basement and found them in that locked room! Joan, Mackenson and Mark helped carry them back upstairs. I am SO thankful to have them back. It has been a struggle since they were removed last summer for the conference. I thought they must have been thrown out. Crail Stickling had the message tonight. It really was about forgiveness and restoration but he read out of 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians. Click HERE if you would like to watch that message It will be well worth your time. After church we enjoyed dinner with the group at Culvers.
