The Book of Acts

Both Mark and I went out to the barn to start work at 6:00 am. I moved the lift enough to get the floor scrubber out and Mark got busy scrubbing the gym floor while I worked upstairs cleaning up any construction mess.

He was able to finish the gym before I finished.

We worked until 7:30 am then left for the walk.  I remembered to take the cupcakes out of the barn freezer and took those over to mom's downstairs fridge. They will be served tomorrow for the Co-op picnic. Mom has some beautiful peonies in bloom in her gardens by the walk down.
Diane, Joan and I started on the walk but needed to stop to throw some logs into the woods.

After the walk we stopped at mom's and ended up staying talking there until close to 9:00 am. Mark was wondering if he was going to have to cook his own breakfast. I cooked it but very fast as the guests for the apartment and the new barn were moving in at 10:00 am and I still needed to mop floors in the kitchen area, the 3 bathrooms and the gym hallway. I finished by 9:45 jumped on the golf cart and drove as fast as I could to the apartment to make sure there were no ladybugs on the floor and there was already people there waiting to get in. I asked them to wait while I checked and gave it a quick lookover. All seemed well so they were given the code and let inside. By 10:00 am sharp the cars and trucks started arriving with all the wedding decorations. Mark wanted to weed whack a little more around the barn but instead finished up around the fence posts. Aunt Jinnie called to let me know she wanted to come to the Co-op musical so I let her know I would pick her up at 1:15 pm. At 1:10 I left for Joan's to  pick up Mackenson but couldn't find him. I finally thought he must have walked over to mom's house but found him at the dumpster. He was dressed for the play but needed to go back to the house to get shoes. It was 1:17 pm as we were heading back to mom's and Aunt Jinnie was at the fork waiting for my car. She was surprised I would be late. Mark was to be picked up last and he too was already walking down the drive looking for us. We are very rarely late. The musical ACTS a City Rising was SO good. This play is based on the book of Acts and I think covered it very well. The actors and actresses were very talented. Below is a picture of the cast.
It was such a good play. Joan is going to buy the dvd but since it is copy righted we cannot share it on-line.  We didn't get home until 5:30 pm so supper was started then. We were hungry as we didn't stop working for lunch. Now I'm full and sleepy.
