Perfect Pastures

I went out at 5:30 am to check Sheena and saw an amazing sky. We can't see the sunrise from our house but the sky was a glorious red and gold.

The red sky was even coloring the horses. Dancer's colt had been laying down but when the golf cart came driving up he woke up and started nursing.

Sheena just looks miserable. I was checking her udder when I saw her unborn foal kick out. Her udder was a little bigger this morning but no waxing.
I took one more picture of the sky before heading back inside. I could see more of the gold from the sun.
After our walk I went straight to the barn to start cleaning and got the 3 bathrooms cleaned, the upstairs and then most of the gym. All of the sports equipment was moved to a corner by the lift.
Anna removed the volleyball net.
It will stay down for the next 3 weekends as there are 3 weddings in a row. The pickle ball nets will be removed on Friday morning.  The bride told me they would cover the sports equipment with some fancy curtains. I quit cleaning at noon, took a break and asked Mark if we could hook up the golf cart to his wagon so the pastures could be cleaned. The 3 weddings each want to have the ceremony outside so those pastures must be perfect.
Before I started on the pastures I turned Rosalie and her filly out then brought Blueberry and her filly into the round pen and got a short video of her movement. She is 20 days old today and moves very nice.

Mike had the big excavator hauled here from Middle Grove. It came on such a huge truck they had to unload at the road.
While I was cleaning the pastures Mark used the skid steer to clean up Evan's paddock.
He added a couple loads of lime when he was done.
It was hot and sunny today and after 3 hours of working outside I was just too hot and thirsty to keep working. I'll have to finish the pasture tomorrow. I went inside, pulled out the ice cream, added milk and made myself a nice cold vanilla shake. The perfect drink to cool myself down. Mark was kind enough to unload the cart. It had some manure in but was mostly grass and was completely filled. He had mowed the pasture and the dried cut grass needed to be removed. We both needed showers to get ready for church tonight. Tonight was family night at the fellowship hall. Gregg and Heather Rumbold served the dinner then Gregg had the message. It was a good message.
I'm not sure they can post the message on AC Central as the wifi isn't as good out there but if it is posted I'll copy it an post it here. Diane drove mom and Aunt Jinnie home. I went home with Mark but forgot that I had driven the golf cart over to mom's to drive to the Fellowship hall. When we got home I noticed right away my golf cart was missing and asked Mark if he had left it up at the barn when he emptied the wagon load. He thought he must have and walked up to find the golf cart when I remembered where it was but just then Diane called asking for help at mom's. She drove my golf cart over to pick me up. I was able to let Mark know where the golf cart was. It is now 9:30 pm and I am SO ready to go to bed.
