Curious Cows

Early this morning the man that owned a Forest River Wildcat let us know he would be willing to deliver the 5th wheel tomorrow but wanted a deposit first. That meant I needed to drive to Madison, Wisconsin with the deposit. That served 2 purposes I really wanted to check it out before buying it. Before leaving Madiera's colt was checked on, all is well with him so far. Madiera was waiting for her grain and came right up.

The bank opened at 8:00 am so I was at CEFCU as soon as it opened to pull out the cash needed for the 5th wheel if I decided to buy it. Below is the picture of the 5th wheel.
I  arrived in Madison about 11:45 am and was pretty thrilled with this one. It has  a power awning, TWO bathrooms, both with a stool, sink and shower. It has TWO bedrooms, one is a bunk room that sleeps 3 with the bathroom attached. The other is the master bedroom which holds a queen size bed, an attached bathroom, a huge closet and plenty of cupboards and drawers. It has THREE power slide outs. One for the bunk room, one for the master bedroom and one for the living area. It has THREE televisions, once for each of the rooms. This camper sleeps NINE people although it might be a little cozy as 2 of the beds are full size, the couch in the bunk room and the couch in the living area, there is 1 single bunk, the dinette folds down also to sleep 2 but realistically that would be for small adults or 2 children. Below is a picture of the layout.

It is made by Forest River and is quality throughout. It was also in very good condition. They had not used it much so I bought it. The outside needs a good scrubbing so hopefully once it is hooked up we can use a power washer to reach the top.
This camper will be parked next to the new barn and once hooked up and cleaned up will be listed on airbnb. The previous owner is going to deliver it tomorrow morning. They plan on leaving by 5:00 am so I expect them here around 9:00 am on Saturday.
I drove straight there, looked at the camper, put down the deposit then drove straight home only stopping once for gas just before leaving Wisconsin as the gas is cheaper than in Illinois. I made it home by 4:00 pm. Anna, Braelyn, Taegan, Kensley, Sarah, Nolan, Rhoda and Lee were already here painting in the new barn.  The kids were playing in the gym.

The kids that wanted to go were loaded up for a trip to the dumpster then to our house to take a golf cart ride.

On the golf cart ride we stopped to pet Irish. Below is Iris petting Irish.

We took the golf cart into the fields to pick grass for the horses, drove over to see the dinosaur egg, went past the alligator swamp then back to the horses to feed the grass they all picked.
Rhoda ran out of paint so took the kids on another golf cart ride while I went to pick up the food for supper from Gils.
Below is a short video of them enjoying the barn then heading out with Rhoda.
Supper was served at 6:40 pm and everyone was starving. There was plenty of food with chocolate chip muffins for dessert.
As the weather is so nice the the sky is clear Dan and Levi went to Middle Grove to get pictures of the Milky Way on Dan's phone. Mike showed them to set up their tent telling them, "this is a good spot, the cows are all the way at the other end of the field."

Within 5 minutes they all came over to visit the new neighbors. Such curious cows.
