Dusty Dry

We did not get the rain, the ground is dry and the pastures are no longer growing. The cow pasture cannot support the 4 cows so they are fed hay each morning and each evening. The picture below was taken this morning of the cows enjoying their breakfast.
Both calves are doing great. I'll need to move a round bale in the middle paddock tomorrow. Zalena is going to be put in with Ribbon, Jenis and Marika while Ayanna and Killian will be taken to Middle Grove. I need a paddock for a mare coming in for breeding.  She is a Raven daughter named Isabella's Song, owned by Jenni Moser and will be bred to Evan. We have a decision to make: After the big fight on Sunday we discussed if Horsemeister really does need 3 Friesian stallions and Evan was placed for sale on a couple of websites. There was no way Mike would let us place Valiant for sale, he is Raven's son. The problem I have with selling Evan is that Killian is not proven and we have so many owners of Raven daughters that want a baby out of Evan (me included).  The Friesian mares Jenis, Emma and Marika are all related to Valiant so even if someone was interested we cannot let him go until all of them are confirmed in foal. I probably should take the ads off until Killian is proven but until the ads are removed if you are interested in buying a proven gorgeous trick trained Friesian stallion make us an offer we cannot refuse and you could end up with your dream come true!
And now just a little levity for the day. Below is titled What MOM Taught me:
1. My mother taught me about the WEATHER
"Your room looks like a tornado hit it."
2. My mother taught me about RELIGION.
"You better pray that comes out of the carpet."
3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten  up I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week."
4. My mother taught me about the CIRCLE OF LIFE.
"I brought you into this world, I can take you out."
5. My mother taught me about ENVY.
"There are millions of less fortunate children in the world who don't have wonderful parents like you."
6. My mother taught me about OSMOSIS.
"Shut your mouth and eat your supper."
7. My mother taught me about RECEIVING.
"You are going to get it when we get home."
8. My mother taught me about GENEALOGY.
"Shut that door... Do you think you live in a barn?"
9. My mother taught me about JUSTICE.
"One day you'll have kids... I hope they turn out just like you!"
10. My mother taught me about LOGIC.
"Because I said so, That's why!"
11. My mother taught me about STAMINA.
"You'll sit there until your spinach is gone."

Now just for the record we have a great mom and have hardly ever heard any these sayings come out of her mouth!
