The trailer was moved yesterday afternoon off the yard and parked in the drive and it was a good thing that job was done. The rain started in earnest a few hours later and by evening was coming down steady. The paddocks are flooded and slick with mud again, the horses that could be standing under the pavilion or in a shelter are standing out in the rain with their tails tucked in getting drenched. Yesterday morning Wynne's udder and Sangria's udder was checked but Lily was down at the end of a muddy paddock and I only had my tennis shoes on so didn't go tromping through the mud to check hers, she was checked the day before. None of those three mares are bagged up so hopefully there won't be any surprises this morning. A foal born out in this weather would have a hard time. Wynne is due March 23rd, Lily is due March 31st and Sangria April 14th.
The office is very close to being finished. On our second loop Diane and Rachel stopped in to check it out and gave their approval. Unless the rain stops soon there will be no walk today.
Choir last night was different, instead of practicing our benefit dinner songs we were given a folder with Zion Harps songs. The church(all of the AC churches in the US) are putting together a CD of each song in the Zion Harp book so the leaders can listen and know how these songs are suppose to be sung. I really didn't want to go knowing this ahead of time as I love singing the benefit songs but the night turned out way better than expected. The choir had perfect pitch for some reason and did not flat the entire night even without the piano. Each song was more beautiful than the last. We finished our group of songs and didn't want to quit. The choir members started giving out numbers as soon as a song was finished. Leaving the fellowship hall that night I felt so blessed to have the opportunity to sing with other believers.
