Caden On His Way
A huge and I mean HUGE rig came tonight to pick up one little black colt. This rig was over 75 feet long, a 10 horse trailer pulled by a tractor trailer. Pictures were taken but I couldn't get far enough away to get the entire rig in the picture with using the flash. The 10 horse trailer was divided into 4 very roomy box stalls. In the first stall were 2 yearling Friesian colts that were heading from MI down to TX. It was interesting to see they were quite a bit smaller than Ayanna and Indy and were brown. It is hard to know just how good the quality of our horses are when there are no other Friesian foals around to compare them to.
Caden very calmly and obediently walked right up the ramp into the trailer even though he has never been on a ramp before. Must be all Steven's handling of him.
Dr. Hoerr was called today for an appointment to draw blood for coggins from Mika, Bunni, Sally, Paris and Jewel. We will also have him look at Sanna's leg, it was swollen today and she is sore on it. Unfortunately they called back and had to put off the appointment until Wednesday morning. I'll spend some time hosing her leg tomorrow and see if that helps.
