Rachel Sauder of www.momentscapturedbyrachel.com took this picture of Raven, relaxing in the hay during the blizzard. Now what Rachel was doing out in the blizzard is a guess but to get this shot she would have had to either open the gate to get inside the paddock or crawl through a fence. He looks comfortable and well fed snuggled up in the hay. Nice to know Rachel was concerned enough to go check on horses with a camera during a blizzard, or perhaps she was just out looking for good pictures of this amazing snow.
The family all over at the Meister compound are having a blast. Ruth, Anni and Rebekah came over from their farm just a mile away skiing behind Larry.
Rebekah more than likely was able to ride Larry right down the middle of the road to get there as surely no cars would be driving down the unplowed roads. Looks like fun!

The blizzard was enjoyed by lots of the kids in the Sauder's hot tub drinking hot chocolate, eating popcorn and watching movies. Now if the electricity had gone out it would have been a different story. Then they would have had to switch to oil lamps and candles while playing card games or telling stories. Sure makes us poor kin, the ones stuck in Peoria JEALOUS!
