Leave now, if you need to drive to get home, don't wait. In 15 minutes the roads went from pretty decent to snow covered and slick. There was only a few flakes coming down when we started home for lunch, 15 minutes later outside the window is almost a whiteout. Mark needed to be taken back to the shop where our 4 wheel drive truck was and coming home from there, just trying to make it up 116 my car started sliding and barely made it up and this was on a major route that had been plowed once this morning.
The horse that needed the banimine will be going to Dr. Hoerrs for the duration of this storm. After checking him out and mineral oiling him Dr. Hoerr felt this would be the best solution, just in case it was more than an impaction colic.
Rhoda's clinic was called to see when they would let her start home, the answer was they were aware the roads were bad, just had to finish up 2 appointments then they were closing down and she could leave. Hope the trucks are out on the interstate or she may not make it. Her car doesn't do well in snow. She called at 12:40pm to let us know she was on the way and couldn't see 10 feet in front of her.
