The rain stopped so once it was light enough to see I brought the rain gauge inside to take a picture.
We got exactly 2 inches of rain in a little less than 24 hours. What a gift! Aiken and Titus were put in the outdoor arena to graze. Those stalls were cleaned then Sheena put in Aiken's stall so her stall could be cleaned. She was also given fresh water and another wheel barrow of hay. By then it was time to walk. Ruth, Diane and I walked and stopped in to visit with mom and Karin before going home to move the camper I picked up yesterday over to Joan's house. Mark came with me to help me get it backed into position. There are only 3 at Joan's as we have one at Tri County getting the awning motor replaced. Right after that was done the stock trailer was hooked up to the truck and only then did I go in to make breakfast. Right after breakfast I needed to load Star and Whiskey to take them to Hoerr Vet clinic for ultrasounds. When I got to the barn Sarah and Rhoda were there with their children for pony rides. They had Cookie tacked up and Zion on her.
The rest were waiting on the golf cart for their turns. I needed to leave for the vet clinic but Rhoda sent the pictures and videos below.
Zion was giving pony rides on Cookie.
Titus and Aiken were in the outdoor arena watching the pony rides so the kids went over to see him. He was tasting their hair.
I arrived at the vet clinic and had horse trailers ahead of me. The place was swamped.
There were 2 more ahead of the one in front of my truck.
I had to wait but while waiting went in and settled up the bill for today and for Sheena's bill. When they were finally ready for us our neighbor (bought Paula's house just down the road from us) was there and ended up helping me get them both out of the trailer and into the stocks. Whiskey didn't want to walk into the clinic so Star went first. She was willing to walk into the stocks but then kicked to show her displeasure at being confined. Thankfully she settled.
Star was bred to Valiant and is due April 18th, 2026. Whiskey walked into the clinic following Star but refused to walk into the stocks. That took Dr. Hoerr, plus 4 others to get her in. She too settled.
She was bred to Evan and is due April 25th, 2026. They both were glad to walk right into the trailer for the trip home. As soon as they were put away Sheena and her filly were taken to the cabin field. That has wonderful drainage and is not muddy. I was very pleased with how well she is walking and the swelling is going down too. She is on the mend. I could hear kids playing on the playground so took the golf cart over there.
Tarah had her 4 remaining puppies at the playground. Sarah was getting pictures of them for their website.
These last 4 are for sale but if you are interested you will have to check out Sarah and Nolan's website by clicking HERE. I needed to be in Morton to get the sensor pulled out of my arm. The research testing was over today. They gave me a check for $100.00 and also my lab results. I am a little anemic so today decided I should be eating liver and onions at least once a week. When I got home Mark asked if I wanted to go out to eat as he had a very small lunch and I had nothing prepared and even though we are going to the Bartonville Diner tomorrow with Amy and Ken we chose to go there. They have a liver and onion senior special for $9.99 and that is what was ordered. Mark chose to order the taco salad. His came with a bowl of cabbage soup and that was really delicious. The soup and salad came first.

Mine came with a salad, baked potato, and carrots.
The liver was not strong tasting and just the right amount, the carrots were also good.
Mark's taco salad was huge but he felt the bowl was too thick and he also felt like the taco salad at the Mexican restaurant in Farmington was better.
It wasn't bad just not as tasty. He did not eat the bowl. We took home the baked potato and half of the soup. We needed to stop at Aldi on the way home. The lady that rented the motorhome called and wanted to drop it off tonight. They went all the way to Mount Rushmore, visited the badlands and had a wonderful trip but came home one day early. The weather wasn't that nice so instead of camping one more night decided to just make the drive home a little early. She said the motorhome worked perfectly and was very happy with that and the trip. After she left the stalls were made ready for Aiken and Titus then Sheena was given her antibiotic shot. I checked AC Central and found Family Night with Lisa was now posted so if you would like to watch that click HERE. The only thing left to do today is to bring Aiken and Titus in for the night.
