Rainy Day

We had about an inch and 3/4ths of water in the rain gauge this morning and it was still raining when I checked it at 5:30 am on my way to the barn. Titus and Aiken were put in the outdoor arena so they could graze and once their stalls were cleaned Sheena and her filly were put in Aiken's stall so hers could be cleaned. Then I started hauling hay. With 3 of the stalls being used I needed 3 full wheel barrows full of hay. Only after filling all of the water buckets and cleaning Sheena's stall was she and her filly moved back. It is much to wet for Sheena to go outside with the puncture wound in her hoof. It is really important to keep that dry so she and her filly were left inside. When I came back to the house Mark wanted a hair cut. There was no walk instead Mark and I took the truck to Joan's house. Mark checked the fuses in the camper for the awning and when we saw it was ok we hooked the truck up to the camper.

I drove that down to Tri-County RV for repairs. They looked at the stove top and told me the only way that would shatter was if it was shut when the burner was on or still very hot. On the way back I decided to check the shattered glass to see if there was soot on any of the pieces but there was not. Mark ordered another stove cover on Amazon. Hopefully that will get here and get installed before this camper goes out on June 12th. When I got back Mike and his helper Crew had the yanmar here repairing the gate post of the short shelter paddock.
He blew a hose on the yanmar so left and went shopping for a new hose.  Sheena's stall needed more hay and more water around noon. At 3:00 pm Bobby from D's RV Repair called to let me know the camper that was getting the slideout fixed was all done and ready to be picked up.  I left right away to pick that up getting back by 4:40 pm. Sheena needed her antibiotic shot and her hoof dressing changed. That was done with 20 minutes to spare before we needed to leave for church. I can easily get ready in that amount of time. Kristin called to see if we would pick up Mackenson and I told her yes we would be there at 5:30 pm. We arrived at Joan's a few minutes early and it was good we did. Mackenson was out working on his inventions and not ready for church. He quickly changed and we made it to the fellowship hall right at 6:00 pm. Gary and Marie along with Pam and Monica served the family night supper tonight. We sat with Eunice, Leon and Norv.
Lisa Waibel was the speaker tonight and she did an excellent job. Mom called and said she was able to watch it on line but it isn't yet up on AC Central. If it does get posted I will for sure post it here. Mom really wants to send it to Aunt Jinnie. Lisa and Matt both have such a servant heart. We got home from Church at 8:40 pm and it was still light outside. Mike had finished the paddock before he and Diane left for the fellowship hall.
Sheena's stall needed another wheel barrow load of hay and one water bucket filled. Her stall was also cleaned before bringing in Aiken and Titus.
Dancer is still in season but we have decided not to take her to an outside stallion. We will just wait until Oliver is old enough. Dancer is related to both of our stallions. None of the other mares are showing signs of coming into season. Praying they all settled! It rained all the way to the fellowship hall and was still raining coming home but it is a nice soft rain so every precious drop is soaking in. We are thankful for the rain.
