Crazy Host

I awoke to no back pain and what a relief! I can work again, it must have been the massage Rhoda gave me last night. She has the strongest hands and got that spasming muscle to relax. Mom had such an enjoyable busy day yesterday that she slept in this morning not waking until 7:25 am. On our walk we noticed all 3 of the geese families were near the dam and I stopped as we were getting ready to cross the dam to take some pictures. There were a lot of upside down geese, lots of tails sticking out of the water at one point. They saw us and all were upright and swimming away as we got close.

We had a good visit after our walk with mom as she was eating breakfast. After our breakfast we both went to the barn. The first job was to hang plastic. Mark was on the lift using some long lengths of wood he had already put nails in nailing up one side while I was holding up the other side.

Mark started painting on the primer on that wall while I did all the trimming of the primer. We both finished about the same time, cleaned up our paint pans and started painting the walls with the real paint. Mark worked on the walls while I got out the ceiling paint and painted the 3 bathroom ceilings before  changing everything to start on the walls. We worked until 2:30 pm. We finished the first 5 gallon pail of paint and had opened the second when Mark decided we should call it a day. We went back to the house to clean up the painting tools and ourselves and then rested. At 4:30 pm we left for the 50/50 restaurant. Mark wanted to try the salmon as that had such good reviews.
The sauce used over the salmon was excellent and made the dish. He enjoyed the meal. I ordered a taco salad and would not order it again as it had cilantro mixed in and I just don't care for that taste. The rest was good so I just tried to eat what I could identify. Both meals came to $29.00 and I left a $6.00 tip. We went from there to Aldi to pick up some groceries  and met David and Elisabet. They had just come from the Alpha Park library and were getting a snack for Elisabet before Israel's baseball game tonight. That was held at Limestone High school. There was a delay for the game to start as the grounds needed to be dried out. We had almost 4/10ths of an inch of rain. Instead of starting at 5:00 pm it didn't start until close to 7:00 pm.

Israel hit a double line drive.

My phone was almost out of battery when a text came through that someone booked the apartment for tonight. As we were not home I asked Diane if she would run over and make sure it was ready for the guests coming in. Only after asking her did I get the message they were coming in around 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm. I called her back to tell her not to bother, I would do it as I was sure I would be home before then but she was already there and told me the closet door was off. The baseball game was called for dark around 8:45 pm, we got home about 9:20 pm and I drove straight up to the apartment to put the closet door on but it already was on. I sent Diane a text thanking her and she immediately called back to let me know she had not done that. It turned out that Anna came over to bring back bedding she had washed, saw it off and fixed it tonight! Earlier, as I thought the guests might make it there before we would get home, I sent the guest a message that the closet door was off but it shouldn't be a problem. That guest is going to think I'm crazy.
