Sunday

As we have another guest at the foaling apartment the horses were left until 6:30 again. This guest has 3 little dogs and I was afraid the noise from the horses would cause the dogs to bark but they didn't. We needed to move a round bale in the middle paddock and even then we didn't hear the dogs. The owner told me why, she keeps a noise machine going while the dogs are inside. Now I've heard it all. We were on our way to pick up Rhonda for church but the traffic was so bad we had to pull over until it passed. Joan was pulling out with mom's van then Bethany was coming from Joan's house. We had a very good day at church. Caleb Plattner had the morning message on Genesis 19 and Romans 1. Click HERE to watch that. Joan Schick and Amanda and Adrian Gonzales served lunch. The entire Spanish church came to help with that. They served walking tacos for lunch with lots of goodies for dessert. The afternoon service was the reading of the Spring memorandum Click HERE to watch that. After church we stopped at Aldi to pick up 3 pounds of bacon, 4 ripe avocados, dill pickle slices, 3 bags of frozen fine green beans, and 3 half gallons of ice cream for the Sunday dinner. When we got home The water melon was sliced and put in the freezer to cool, a cake was mixed up and put in the oven to bake, the 3 pounds of bacon was fried up and the green beans put to boil in chicken broth. I added a few spoonfuls of the bacon grease to the chicken broth and those green beans tasted amazing. Mark made the hamburgers then grilled them over at the barn. We had 2 kinds of cheese to top the burger, pepper jack and cheddar. Supper was delicious and there wasn't much left by the time supper was over.

After supper everyone went out to the playground. Taegan gave the younger kids a ride.

The young ones played their own made up game of volleyball. The old ones stood or sat around visiting.

It started spitting rain so we made our way back inside. The kids made up another game. Throw the balls on top of the bouncy house then try to get them off from the inside.

I still needed to bring in another load of hay for Sheena, give her bute mixed in with grain and give her an antibiotic shot so prepared that then went up to the barn. once that was done and her water buckets filled for the 3rd time today, her stall was cleaned and only then were the other two horses brought inside. The mares were enjoying the grazing in Evan's pasture.
As soon as Blueberry and Rosaleigh are confirmed in foal these mares and foals will go to Middle Grove and Evan will get his pasture back.  We have sonagrams scheduled at the vet clinic on Wednesday so hopeful they will go from there straight to Middle Grove. The guests coming in to the barn tomorrow want to arrive by 9:00 am so  I will need to get an early start tomorrow on clean up from tonight.
I heard cars pull out as I was finishing up at the barn and noticed the beautiful colors in the South sky.

The sun was not breaking out of the clouds in the West but it was lighting up the South and it was still spitting rain as I was taking the pictures.
