Outrage in Iowa

I had a sore back yesterday but it was tolerable but by midnight the pain was so great I thought I was going to vomit. I have no idea how I hurt it but everything was an effort and taken very slowly today. Mark and I brought over the left over food and dishes from yesterday's meal and I also brought over the towels and bedding the guests from Saturday night. The food and dishes were put away but I just couldn't bend to separate the laundry or start it. The man renting the motorhome arrived around 9:00 am and was very happy with it. We went over how to use everything. As soon as he and his father in law left Mark and I left for Norris to pick up the camper that was used there for the weekend. When we got back with the camper 2 others had already been delivered. We were able to park the one we brought back then moved the other 2 leaving room for the 4th when that comes back tomorrow.

Berlica was needed to feed the neighbor's animals while they are on vacation so I took her over on the golf cart.

When we got back Crew was busy helping his grandpa clear trees with the excavator.

Dan was waiting so I didn't stay long to video his work. Dan told us all about their weekend on Mark Twain lake. They had a wonderful time. Joan called about then to explain they had a lot of rain in Missouri and went through some pretty deep puddles and the ramp on the wheel chair van would no longer work. They were able to take it down manually to get mom out of the van and also manually for the trip home. When Spark took Joan to the emergency room at the hospital in Mountain Home, AR she was so swollen up that he told the ER Doctor, "I have 8 sisters and this is the ugliest!" That was totally not fair. Just because her whole face was twice the regular size, her eyes swollen shut and her lips huge right then. I'm sure once the ER doctor got to know her he realized she has inner beauty. This evening Ruth, Diane, Joan and Mark and I were over visiting with mom about the trip. I mentioned I'm hoping someone in the family has some drugs that would help with this back pain. Ruth went home to check out Fedi's supply but no luck, Joan was sure she had some from when she broke her arm but couldn't remember where she hid it. When she did finally find it I took a half of one then left with Mark to move a round bale in for the last paddock, Titus and Aiken's paddock.

We got that done in the rain and right now we are getting a very nice shower. We are both soaked but the horses have hay for tonight. The mail today brought some bad news for me. The RV share lady that rented the motorhome a couple weeks ago got a speeding ticket and as the motorhome license is in my name the $75.00 ticket came in my name and if I don't pay it within 30 days of the infraction I will get a big fine. I sent a text to the lady with a picture of the ticket and left 2 messages on her phone but so far she has not responded. I called the police department of Cedar Rapids and they told me, "sorry it is in your name and you have to pay it and then collect it from the lady that was driving." I asked the lady at the police department of Cedar Rapids, "Aren't people outraged over this policy?" she told me yes but it is a state law and if I don't like it I need to vote it out. Yeah right, move to Iowa for that!
