As we were not able to get all the bales into the barn yesterday because of the extreme heat we started moving bales this morning at 5:45 am. The last bale was stacked at 7:15 am.
We have 43 bales off this cutting and 35 left from last year giving us 78 bales in the barn right now.
We had a good walk but it was already getting hot. At 8:30 mom and I left for the Berean office. Skip showed us the new Bibles he was able to order. They are leather, high quality and beautiful. He bought all they had.
These were on sale as this particular Bible has been discontinued and was marked down from $33.00 to $12.98.
We had a very light mail day today but between mom, Skip and I we got everything done. We dropped the mail off at the Hanna City post office before going home. Rizzy was here waiting to greet me when I opened the door. She will be living here while David and Stephanie's family are in Mexico. It was so hot outside that the lake was the place to be!
Mark and I needed to take the truck off the stock trailer and hook it up to the car hauler (the alumina trailer) and leave for Goodfield by 4:55 pm. Dan met us at a warehouse and helped load the truck and trailer for the barn project. We couldn't fit all the supplies on our truck and trailer so Levi, Dan's son, brought over Dan's truck and trailer and got the rest on his. It was a long slow trip home. We stopped just after 7:00 pm at the Bartonville Diner for a late supper.
I ordered the liver and onions while Mark ordered a turkey sandwich. Both were good and filling. It had been over 7 hours since we had eaten anything and hunger is a good cook.
We didn't arrive home until 8:00 pm. The truck and trailer were just driven into the indoor arena and left there. I needed to check on Aiken. She is the most confusing mare and today I'm wondering if maybe this really is Bulu who is due July 7th. Maybe all along I've had the WRONG mare. The joke really would be on me if this is so. If it IS Bulu where is Aiken?
