Wet Wednesday

I was reading this morning in my chair in the living room when a doe walked right past the window.

I got up and looked out the front window and took the pictures below. She was grazing in the yard and in no hurry to leave.
She thought she heard me but still didn't leave.

She went back to grazing but then when I opened the front door she quietly walked into the woods. It was obvious that she has a fawn as her udder is quite full.

After she walked into the woods I went out to give Sheena her sulfa then grain them.

The filly loves the grain and figures out how to get her mama's head out of the bucket so she can stick her head into the bucket. I met Ruth and Diane at mom's. Once Mackenson and Berlica arrived Joan, Ruth, Diane and I went for our walk. It started raining after the walk and it kept raining of and on most of the day. On one of the off times I weeded around the 2 tomato plants.
Once the weeding was done Mark got the cages around them.
Braelyn had some friends spend the night at the barn with her and they came over carrying a big turtle who was working on digging a place for her eggs in a bad area for her eggs to be able to hatch.
They moved her into the woods so hopefully she will pick a better spot later. As the rain had temporarily stopped Mark helped move a bale in for the 2 Thoroughbred mares.
Mark worked on camper batteries while I work inside the house on laundry. The barn laundry was finished here at the house then taken over so the bed could be made and the towels hung back up. The airbnb guest staying at the apartment left today. I removed the garbage from the apartment then took the towels down to the house to wash. Braelyn will come and clean it this week but the guest left it in good shape so it shouldn't be too hard for her.  We left at 6:00 pm for church, but drove to Bridlewood apartments first to pick up Lisa as she needed a ride today. David had the message tonight. It was a VERY good message but the last verse he talked about really was such a comfort. If you would like to watch this message click HERE. After church we joined the group at Culvers for a late supper. It was a very big group tonight and we stayed visiting longer than usual not getting home until close to 10:00 pm. It is still raining, but we are expecting the rain to stop tonight and the next 5 days to be hot and sunny. Perfect for cutting, raking and bailing hay!
