A Good Day

Just Diane and I walked, Ruth had such a late night baby sitting she took the day off. Joan spent the night with mom and when we walked in mom was all ready for our morning as today was Berean DAY! One of our favorites. Not only do we get to serve men and women in jails and prisons by sending Bibles and studies we get to do it with a wonderful group of volunteers.

We arrived to find everyone all ready hard at work. Skip was shopping for Bibles and was able to find 166 on clearance from $33.00 to $12.50 each and ordered all of them. This will hold us off for a couple weeks. It is crazy how hard it is to purchase Bibles. Skip was telling us about his find in the picture above. While he was shopping I was working on the computer entering in the studies. The rest were opening mail, reading letters, and folding studies for mailing.

The Berean office, owned by the Unsickers, is in the middle of the Unsicker farms. Today we saw a man (maybe Chip) was out checking the fields.
We are so grateful for this office that serves the prison ministry so well.
Below is a video of part of our morning.

We stopped at the Hanna City post office to drop off two full boxes of Bibles for mailing along with a good bundle of studies. On the way home Tri County RV called to let me know the camper repairs were done so as soon as I dropped off mom I went home to get the truck. Mark was out with the skid steer cleaning out the garage. He was moving old furniture out to make more room for the car.
I let him know where I was going. We had a lady coming today to look at Titus so I technically needed to be back by 12:30 but got the message earlier that traffic was backed up and she would be late. When I got back with the camper Sarah was here giving pony rides on Cookie.
Below Zion is waiting her turn.
The lady from Michigan arrived while the kids were riding in the outdoor arena so Titus was taken to the round pen. He was a good boy and did everything expected.

She spent some time with him and told me before leaving she has some thinking to do. She left for her 5 hour trip back home. Right then our neighbor sent a text letting me know he had 4 dozen eggs available. I sent out a group text and within minutes told him we would take them all. River went with me on the golf cart over to his house to pick up the eggs. The eggs were dropped off at mom's before taking the camper to Joan's house. That was an experience. There was a truck already there hooking up to a camper, her drive way was full of cars and her old van was parked where this camper was supposed to go. I backed it most of the way down her drive, had to wait until the truck and camper left then Joan moved her van out of the way and I was able to finish the backing. We are not sure how much longer we will be doing the camper rentals but have committed to this year as we already have bookings. All of the campers are in good shape and I'm thankful we have been able to keep them looking good. They are all 2021s so are 4 years old. Mark left for Home Depot to pick up primer, rollers, brushes and paint supplies for the barn. I wont be able to start painting on primer until Friday and have both Friday and Saturday free to hopefully finish at least the primer. The group from the barn left around 2:00 pm today and I was able to collect the laundry but didn't start the cleaning. They left it in really good shape. The laundry was brought back to the house and started. At 8:00 pm Sheena was given her final shot and the other two brought in the stalls for the night on the way back I noticed the gym lights had been left on so the golf cart was taken over to shut those off. Today was a good day.
