Uplifting

Before leaving for church this morning the barn was given a quick check over and the air conditioner turned down to 70 degrees for the guest coming in at noon. It was predicted to be 96 degrees and it was easier to cool it this morning. I didn't want to put Madiera and her filly in the stall while it was still cool this morning so let them into the pond pasture as that has a lot of shade. They went straight across the dam to graze.

The filly needed to taste the grass. There isn't much we have not had any rain for weeks.
On the way back to the house I had to admire the red berries.

We had an awesome day in church. Craig Stickling had the morning message on Hannah, 1st Samuel 1 and 2. It was such a touching message and I highly recommend watching it by clicking HERE. David had the afternoon message which was a baptism message like none I've heard before as this afternoon we were privileged to witness Lisa Torres' baptism. Click HERE to watch that. We went through the line to greet Lisa but skipped the snack after as I had a lot of cooking still needing to be done for tonight's dinner. Israel, Jasper and Berlica went home from church with us so they could go riding.
Israel drove the golf cart for the first ride while Jasper rode Missy then they switched. As it was now in 95 degrees Madiera and her filly were brought into a stall and the fan turned on to keep them cool. The guests that were in the barn told me they would FOR SURE be out by 4:00 pm except they weren't. At 4:15 pm I sent Mark over to start grilling and sent a message that my children would be coming in at 4:30 pm. They didn't leave until 4:45 pm but the kids all parked at the playground and were fine with starting supper a little later. Adam the guest talked to Mark and told him they loved the place and he would be calling to see about using it again. It worked out perfectly for what they wanted it for. Supper went great. After supper the volley ball players arrived but decided to play outside. Rhoda offered to give pony rides and Berlica wanted some help with Jewel so Rhoda also gave Berlica a lesson on her.
Below Iris is leading Zeke on Missy.
Below are the kids waiting to ride while Iris takes her turn.
Rhoda decided to work with Jewel first.
It was getting to be evening and the sun was setting so the pictures aren't clear.
Below is a short video of some of Berlica's riding lesson.

The kids came in to see Madiera's 5 day old filly.
Rhoda and Lee drove Nancy home tonight. Sarah Reinhard posted more pictures of our Africa trip so they were shared on my Facebook but below are a few of them.

It really was a wonderful uplifting day.
