Oil Changes

Ruth and I got to mom's house at the same time for our walk. Mom made the comment, "no falling today." Yesterday Ruth tripped on the deck stairs and didn't quite catch herself in time and very dramatically landed plop on her belly in front of the sliding glass door. Mom was concerned then started laughing. I explained to Ruth, "you don't have to fall to make mom laugh, I just do jumping jacks." The things we do for entertainment around here. Today was cleaning day for me and I not just cleaned the kitchen I did a stove job. That means the kitchen was really cleaned from top to bottom. Then the upstairs floors were swept and finally the downstairs bathroom given a good cleaning. That was finished about the time I needed to leave. Today the truck had an appointment to get the oil changed at East Peoria Tire.

Jim checked me in then Christa and I had a good talk. Before the truck was finished Jim came over to tell me he would be taking his mother in law to Branson to see David. It took me just a couple seconds to realize he was talking about Shirley! The truck's appointment was at 1:00 pm while Mark's Prius' appointment for an oil change was at 2:00 pm. We crossed paths as I was heading home, he was on his way to the same place. Once I got home from East Peoria I went shopping on Amazon and bought 3 queen size bed frames, 3 queen size 14 inch memory foam mattresses and 3 queen size waterproof mattress covers. The people renting the barn Oct 2nd, 3rd and 4th asked if they could use the new bedrooms. They know they are not finished and don't have trim or doors but we will put up some kind of curtains (Mark thought we could make shower curtains work) for the doors. They are repeat customers and were ok with that.  I was spending too much time checking out different reviews on different mattresses we were almost late for church. We took Berlica and Mackenson with us to church as Joan was staying with mom tonight. Caleb Plattner had the message tonight. It was all on Isaac and Rebekah and we sang 2 wedding songs during the service. Caleb had us all chuckling at one point about being thankful his parent's named him a Bible name when Kristin was praying about his proposal. Pam told us on the way to Culvers tonight Ted mentioned since she didn't name him a Bible name he might not be able to marry. Of course we all laughed!
