Back To Cooking

Mike got Blueberry covered by Valiant, she stood well when the stallion was brought up but before he got the stallion up to the breeding stand Blueberry threw herself backward and cracked one of the support poles. Crazy Thoroughbred. She didn't get away so that was good. One more reason why we really need to keep working with the foals on tying. If they learn as a foal it sticks!

Ruth didn't walk today, as she is working on Wednesday for the summer school program. Diane and Heather walked while Joan and I rode the golf cart. Joan has a smashed toe and it is hard for her to walk right now. She shared a picture of last night's VBS of Spark and Rhonda. The story line is on Joseph from the prison to the palace. Spark and Rhonda just happen to be Joseph and his wife as the ruler in Egypt.
After the walk I decided enough laying around and pulled out a dozen eggs, celery, mayo, onion, biscuits, and had Mark pull out 4 cans of tuna. (I can't bend down to get that)  The eggs were put to boil, the biscuits put in the oven, the celery sliced and diced along with some onion and mixed with the tuna. Once the eggs were boiled a couple were peeled and chopped to add to the tuna then the mayo. Of course 2 batches were made as Mark doesn't like egg in his tuna salad. I was only missing dill but it still tasted ok. I did not work outside today since yesterday I really couldn't do much but look at the work and drive away. I am thankful for the golf cart. A nice surprise came today from Harry & David. I couldn't imagine what it could be and when opened it was a pitcher and a rose bush from Shirley and Ray. When the plant gets too big for the pitcher we will plant it outside on our patio.
It needs lots of sunshine and plenty of water.
We have 3 tomato plants out behind the patio with the hose already hooked up for watering. These roses live a long time and should spread. Tonight was VBS in Peoria and Erik Givens came to give the message on the importance of getting advice from Godly men and women as they head out into the world. Mark and I watched on-line.
