Very Busy Saturday

We had a small window of good weather today where the temperature hit 30 degrees smashed between yesterdays below zero and tomorrow's expected frigid way below zero temperatures. This allowed Karin and Rhoda to get their horse fix working first Ribbon and Hadassah.
Karin tacked up first above she was waiting for Rhoda to finish with Hadassah when Spark and Rhonda came by on their 4 wheeler.
They borrowed the tractor and log splitter for their big log pile. Below they are driving away on the tractor.
Karin on Ribbon and Rhoda on Hadassah posed for a picture before heading out on the trails.
When they came back in Rhoda worked Hadassah a bit more inside. She wanted to buck on the trail ride so she made her work inside until she was well behaved.
Those 2 mares were put away and Sissy brought out. Sissy is due in a couple weeks so wasn't worked hard. Karin did a bit of round pen reasoning before Rhoda saddled her up and took her to the pedestal so she could get use to people being over her head. They quit on a good note, she was standing still for grooming, tacking and putting weight on the saddle. She also accepted the bit giving to pressure when asked.
Once Sissy was put away it was time for lunch then Rhoda and Karin headed over to Rachel's to work on the micro house. They were sheeting the inside walls today.
Mike brought his 4 wheeler over to work with Sheena, she got a saddling lesson and leading lesson around the farm with the 4 wheeler. He reported this mare is fast.
Dan and Abrahm arrived with Diesel their Great Dane puppy and brought him in to meet Darcy and Emma.
He was so cute, not at all afraid of the big dogs. He wanted to play with them. Below Darcy is annoyed. Darcy better get use to puppies, Emma looks like she is going to explode and still has 2 weeks to go before she delivers.

Mike and Diane shoveled off their pond and invited everyone over for ice hockey.
Above is Tate, Billy and Jenny's son and below is their daughter Willow.
I asked them to take a moment to pose for a family picture.
Mark had to drive in for a no heat call and came back just in time for dinner. He worked pretty hard today and isn't feeling well. I still need to get the dishes done and clean up the kitchen. We are under a winter storm warning. The snow is coming down and the temperatures are starting to drop. We are hoping the predicted winds don't make an entrance until much later.
