Moving Bales

All 47 bales made it into the barn before the storm hit. Perfect timing! The fields got a nice drink and the temperature dropped from a muggy sweltering 93 degrees to a cool 70 degrees in a matter of minutes. The wind really started blowing and Rachel had a huge branch fall on her shed.
Emily left for home and left me in charge of her cows. Kenna the younger cow is due tomorrow. I really don't want her to calve until Emily gets home on Sunday.
While sitting on mom's deck enjoying the evening I see David Sauder and his son Luke getting their bales off the field.

After dinner the weather was still cool so Karin took the Reinhards out for a trail ride. Bethany rode Missy, Hannah rode Cookie, Sarah rode Jenis, Tim and Faith rode Sally, Anni Davidovics rode Zalena and Karin rode Indy.

They ended the ride with a race. Below are a few pictures of the race. Bethany won!

Ayanna didn't get to go on this trail ride. She galloped around the field showing off.
She is only 3 years old, over 16 hands and just magnificent!
