She was in the middle of explaining we would not be able to finish with this amount of mail and turned out she was right. She had to take more than half of it home. Emily joined us for lunch then I took her shopping for poison ivy medicine first then grocery shopping later. By the time she got back to the farm she was immediately put to work giving trail rides. She had a small break and quickly got out Killian. He did so good for her.
So good she took him swimming as a special treat.
Below she is taking Diane the owner of Monet and Katy out on the trails. Diane is riding Zalena while Katy is on Jenis. This was actually her second ride of the day and needed to ride Ribbon as we are running out of fresh horses here at the farm.
Katy enjoyed Jenis
Dr. Hoerr let us know he would be here around 6:30pm to collect Evan and AI Monet. We decided to get some pictures of Monet while we were waiting. This mare is so photogenic. Below are a few pictures of Monet and her owner Diane.
When Dr. Hoerr arrived Monet was all ready to go, she was sonagrammed and had a 50 mm follicle. He collected Evan, tested the semen and put it ALL in Monet over 500 billion little swimmers. It only takes one to make a foal! Diane and her husband Rick and their daughter Katy left for the long drive home to Kentucky. Finally I was able to go inside to make dinner and found Mark had a surprise waiting for me. He decided to celebrate our 36 year anniversary one day early as tomorrow is church night.
Emily arrived from the Middle Grove trip and said, "I'm all rode out!" Out of this long 12 hour day she spent a huge amount of time on horseback.
