Wonderful Wednesday

Emily and I left for Forrest a little after 7:00am. The cows were very well behaved leading up to the trailer and loading right in although they are so wide the 2 barely fit side by side. Indy was put in the back, the cart loaded into the back of the truck and off we drove for home.
This was a good test for the truck, we were really loaded down and it worked perfect. Thank you Mangold Ford! When we arrived home around 11:30am the parking lot was filled with cars and vans. Karin had a big group come for vaulting. Indy was put in a stall and the 2 cows were unloaded and let loose in the pasture. Below is Goldy on the left and her daughter Kenna on the right. Kenna is due first and is already starting to bag up.

The vaulters finished with Ribbon in the outdoor arena and were just coming into the indoor to work on the barrel.
There were kids everywhere practicing vaulting moves.

Once the vaulters were finished and cleared out Emily brought Indy out for pictures. She is so beautiful. She has the slick shiny blue black coat of her sire Raven and the mega hair from her dam Ylse.
Quite a few pictures were taken and placed on her webpage on the website. We are so thrilled she settled and is in foal by Evan. This coming baby will be tall with an amazing amount of hair.
Bethany's 18th birthday party was scheduled at 1:00pm at the playground.
There were kids everywhere there too.

Karin's next scheduled event was the trail ride. They saddled up 8 horses and rode all the way to the Davidovics house where Ruth served them all ice cream.
Riders and horses from the left to right were: Hannah on Paris, Rebekah on Jenis, Rhoda on Ayanna, Emily on Missy, Anni on Zalena, Bethany on Sally, Sarah on Cookie and Karin on Marika.
Above they are waiting for the start of the ride and below they are heading out on the one of the beautiful  trails.
They had a really good time and cantered quite a bit which was just what Ayanna needed. Rhoda reported she did great, no buck, no rear, just well behaved. Mark came home early enough to mow a bit before dinner which was a perfectly done pork roast, hot crescent rolls, fresh green beans and cottage cheese. The speaker tonight was from Roanoke on Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.  Root beer floats were served to all who wanted one.
