Thankful for Sundays

Just as we were getting ready to leave for church Sarah sent the picture below. Nolan had left for Missouri to deliver 2 puppies when a deer came running from the river side of the road and slammed into his car.

He could not open the door to get out, the window wouldn't work so he put his seat all the way down and climbed into the back seat to get out. He ended up taking their van to Missouri and that left Sarah carless. I took the 2007 Prius to her house with Mark following. We dropped that off and still made it to church 15 minutes before the service started. Amy and Ken were visiting today. Caleb Plattner had the morning message on Genesis 22 click HERE if you would like to watch that. After the message we were getting up to go into the lunchroom when Nancy passed gas rather loudly. Amy was sitting next to her so she quickly got up and moved away but too late. Joan, who happened to be on the same bench said loud enough for all of us close to hear, "AMY!"   Of course Amy is exclaiming, "it wasn't me, it wasn't me." Craig Stickling had the afternoon message on Psalm 100 and Hebrews 11. That message meshed perfectly with Caleb's message. Click HERE if you would like to watch that message. After church Mark and I stopped at the Aldi on University to pick up a watermelon and ice cream for our supper tonight. The check out lady made the comment, "I love this after church group." I had to explain we don't live in town and that is why we only show up on Sundays. Supper went well.
Every family came plus we had Ken and Amy join us. There was enough for everyone. The weather was so nice that we all migrated to the playground where the volleyball games were going strong.
Spark and Rhonda's family walked over and Noel brought her baby Caroline. This is Spark and Rhonda's first great grand child and mom's first great great. Of course Amy had to kiss those chunky cheeks.
The playground was well used tonight as I had 13 of my grandchildren, Spark had a bunch of his, Joan had 5 of hers and Ruth had 5 of hers.  Below are the only other pictures I took today.

We were having such a good time visiting with all the adults. It really was a special day and I am so very thankful for Sundays.
