Morning came early and I wasn't really ready to wake up but finally dragged myself out of bed at 6:00 am. By sleeping in means the work on the computer must be skipped as reading and prayer time is the time that is most important. I can't face the day without that. Mom was just finishing breakfast when we all arrived for the walk. The surprise lilies are coming up all over. Mom has a big bunch on her table.
On our walk Diane, Ruth and Joan were looking and picking wild flowers for mom's kitchen.
After everyone left I went home to start preparing our dinner tonight. Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou arrived with mom and Ruth.
After the walk I went in to see the work Joan had done on the motorhome. She had replaced the toilet, not realizing that the new toilet was too tall. I knew of the exact tool needed, the step stool so found that and brought it over.
It folds flat for easy storage and fits behind the toilet so is out of the way until needed. This is the toilet those with hip replacements need or anyone that struggles to stand from those short ones. I left then to make breakfast and only then went out to work the horses.
Mark was working on the garage applying cement mortar to the blocks he put back in alignment.
Today Sarah brought her 3 and Rhoda brought her 2 AND David and Stephanie's 2 for riding and Kari brought Aiden and Theo. When they arrived they couldn't find Missy. I was sure she was in the paddock with Titus but she wasn't. The golf cart was here so she assumed Berlica and Mike must be riding. Rhoda tacked up Jewel and Israel was the first to ride.
Zion was next on Jewel
About then Faith riding Sally and Berlica riding Missy came galloping through the fields toward the barn.
Faith took Sally in to untack but we had Berlica bring Missy over for the kids to ride. Berlica worked with Jewel in the outdoor arena, learning how to ask for the correct leads while cantering.
Israel was giving golf cart rides around the outside of the round pen while Zion was galloping Missy inside the round pen.
I had to run back to the house as I had a pumpkin dump cake baking for our dessert tonight so didn't get to stay to watch all the kids ride but if you are interested in seeing pictures of those that did click HERE.
We went over to the playground after riding.
Stephanie arrived after getting off work and lunch was brought out.
After lunch Sarah went to meet the people coming to see if they could remove walls in their new home so we took all the kids down to the beach.
After everyone left I went home to start preparing our dinner tonight. Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou arrived with mom and Ruth.
Mom, Uncle Johnny, Aunt MaryLou, Spark, Rhonda, Diane, Mike, Fedi, Ruth, Beth,Berlica, Mackeson joined Mark and I for dinner. Ruth brought the mashed potatoes, Diane brought the salad, Rhonda brought the rolls, Beth brought the fruit but also some fresh picked corn and vine ripened tomatoes to share. Mark grilled the vegetables while I provided the meat and dessert. Supper was great and the visiting even better. We all left at sunset.
A beautiful ending to a busy day.
