I was surprised at the breakfast here at the hotel. It was almost as good as a Drury Inn breakfast, maybe just missing a few donuts and pastries but the eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal and juices were all good. After breakfast we met at 10:00 am to go to Dicks' 5 and 10 store. This store is famous and is right in downtown Branson. It was a little hard to find a parking place for this big van so I pulled into a handicap spot unloaded then once everyone was walking to the stores found another parking spot. We were a little shocked at how BIG the store was and how HUGE the inventory. They had an old fashioned quarter horse that took 4 quarters to run right in front of the store. The boy was glad to try it out so I could get a picture. I remember thinking those were the best but at 25 cents just too much to spend on a short ride.

Branson Day 2
Of course I found the Breyer horses. There were no Friesians, but they had a Fell pony and this was modeled after Queen Elizabeth's pony.
The Schleich animals were abundant but all quite pricey.
Mark was checking out all the metal cars and trucks.
There were lots of bear carvings.
Shirley found some cute sayings.
We had said to be back at the van in an hour but that one store took a lot of that hour and there were lots of other shops to discover. When we finally got back to the van we went to Chick Fil A for our lunch.
We got back to the hotel around 1:00 pm giving us time to relax and rest before leaving at 2:30 pm for the Sight and Sound theater. Mark and I dropped off the other 8 so they could watch DAVID and we drove back to the hotel and actually took a nap. At 6:50 pm we drove back to the theater to pick them up. Everyone really enjoyed the play. From there we went straight to the college for our late supper only to find there was no room for us. From there we drove to the Golden Corral. When we pulled into the parking lot it was full of old, I mean VERY old restored cars. By this time it was 7:30 pm and the manager set us up a table for 10. We were all hungry and the food was exceptionally good. David and Kathy started with salad, then went back for the main dishes. David went back for his 3rd plate and brought back a huge slab of perfectly done roast.
When he picked up that slab there was another under it.
Yes he ate it all. We got back to the hotel a few minutes ago and everyone is going straight to bed. We will need to leave around 8:15 am tomorrow for home.
News from home is Mike was able to pick up 11 big round bales of alfalfa for Valiant and get them in the barn. I'm hoping this helps him to gain back some of the weight he lost this summer showing off to the mares.
