On the walk this morning Joan noticed the big spider and her huge web that had already caught a yellow jacket.
Right after the walk mom and I left for the Berean office. We were busy today.
Below is a short video.
When we left Berean we drove straight to Meisters to drop off 30 Bible studies for Amanda's mom to grade. Dan was there and showed mom and I the new house he is purchasing. This one is really interesting, it is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom underground home and the most unusual room in the house was a room with a built in hot tub. We then drove to the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and studies going out in today's mail. As I was dropping off the Bibles, Rachel, the post mistress asked, "oh Joan has a package too, will you take it to her?" Of course I did then passed Joan on Hanna City Glasford road so was sure she was trying to get to the post office before it closed at 12:30 pm. I quickly called her and yes, she was on the way there. Instead she went to Caseys and filled up the gas tank in her van. Sarah was at the playground when I arrived and her girls were climbing trees.
Sarah left to work on her house while the girls stayed with me. Berlica and Zion took Jewel and Missy out for trail riding.
River wasn't sure she wanted to go with us on the golf cart so decided to stay and help grandpa on the garage but after helping for a few minutes decided it would be more fun on the golf cart.
On the way to the trails we had to admire the huge pile of dirt at Mike and Diane's house. That big dozer was getting it bigger and bigger.
The truck was a monster truck and made the dozer look small, IT WASN'T).
The girls had a good time riding while the other girls on the golf cart were looking for animal tracks. When the horses crossed the creek the golf cart couldn't so we went the back way to meet them and saw lots of deer tracks, coyote tracks, raccoon tracks and maybe even a cougar track (we couldn't see the claw marks on those).
Below is the video of the girls and the horses.
Elisabet caught a cricket when we were following the horses. We drove right over to the lake to throw it in for the fish. She threw it just where the water hit the beach and as soon as that cricket hit the water a huge bass came flying up onto the beach to eat it splashing water everywhere and almost beaching itself. That shocked the girls and they jumped back. I wish I would have had the video rolling for that one. We took the horses up to get hosed off then they were put in the outdoor arena to graze while they dried off then once the mares were dry rode them bareback back to their paddock.Below River, Elisabet and Eden were throwing the lead rope off the golf cart in hopes of scaring out some grass hoppers or crickets.
Chelise was there too but she was a little shy and didn't want to get too close to Jessica's two.
Israel had a friend swimming so he didn't get to ride today but he was sure he would be back tomorrow. The girls decided to go into the barn to make a book and cool off.
They soon went back outside to play.
I went over to mom's and found Jessica there with Brewster and Ruby visiting with grandma.Chelise was there too but she was a little shy and didn't want to get too close to Jessica's two.
Mom loves it when the great grands arrive for a visit. She has always loved the babies. Good thing since she had 11 of them herself!
Stephanie was getting ready to leave so I went back into the barn and found lots of water on the floor. Zion, Eden and River helped mop up all the spilled water.
Sarah and Nolan were just finishing up for the day at their new house so they came over to cool off in the lake and then have supper with us at the barn. We picked up food from the Warehouse for our dinner and found once unpacking the food the Warehouse had forgotten to put in Nolan's French fries.
