Putting Out Fires

Mom was still having trouble with her back so didn't walk today but felt well enough to come to Berean. We had a light mail day and were finished by 10:30 am. If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. I stopped at Dollar General on the way home from Berean to pick up a few things for the apartment before dropping her off at home. After the apartment was finished I ran back to the lake where Anna, Stephanie, Taunya and Rhoda were enjoying the water and the kids were having a ball playing. Emma followed me over and also went swimming.
Pax caught a rabbit and wouldn't let anyone take it out of his mouth.
The kids all went to the tramp to dry off before we left for the trails.

We took the golf cart down on the death trails to clean up all the downed branches on that trail. Everyone helped.

When we got back up the boys went to play in the broken branches of the maple tree.

Everyone left. If you would like to see the rest of the pictures from today click HERE.  Ruth and Joan took mom for her cardiologists appointment and came back with LOTS more tests that will need to be done. While they were gone Rhoda cleaned all the branches, leaves and twigs off her deck. Mom was pretty exhausted when she got home. All day today I had phone calls, or texts that were problems that needed to be fixed from work and family. I felt like all day I was putting out fires. Sure did a lot of praying today and really am thankful I CAN take my cares and problems straight to the Lord. Hopefully tomorrow will run smoother.
