Compression Fracture

It was just Ruth, me and the dogs for the walk this morning. Diane had to go to Middle Grove early and Joan had a co-op meeting. Mom has not been able to walk. She was up at 4:00 am, made her own breakfast and got ready for the trip to her doctor appointment. Today was her x-ray appointment for the terrible pain in her back. We got home from that about 10:30 am and as soon as we got back mom took a couple Tylenol, sat in her chair and fell sound asleep and slept until close to 1:00 pm. After the lunch we sat out on the deck a while. The doctor's office called to report they only found some mild degenerative arthritis in her hip. We were all surprised and not really happy with that diagnoses. This pain came on very suddenly and is very sharp. She told the person on the phone that her next appointment was in 11 days and she just couldn't handle the pain for 11 more days. It was only a few hours later when they called back and reported the x-rays show a compression fracture in her spine. We were all SO glad to hear mom has a broken bone, Now we KNOW there is a reason for all this pain. Now maybe something can be done. She is going back to the doctor office tomorrow morning and Ruth will be taking her. This afternoon a text came in from the lady that bought Cinnamon with this picture:
Cinnamon had a beautiful colt last night around 10pm. He is doing great this morning. Very vigorous😄 Cinnamon is very protective so it's hard to get a good pic, but I'll try to send you some more later!
Tonight we met at mom's for games. Diane didn't play she is leaving in the morning with Beth for Gulf Shores.  Mom had the game of a lifetime, below was the final score.
We just had to keep laughing. It was a fun way to keep ones mind off pain.  Although it was quite painful for Ruth, Joan and me.
