Hot Saturday

Wow it was hard to wake up this morning, oversleeping until after 6:00 am.  We had a leisurely breakfast of buttermilk pancakes stuffed with those wonderful fresh blueberries along with real maple syrup and a couple farm fresh eggs.
After breakfast I headed up to the barn to clean stalls then get the feeding done. Kayla and Isaiah arrived and Karin had them work first with Ripper. He is under doctor's orders to exercise and we were thrilled to see he is moving much better.
Mark got the weed whacking done around the apartment and the barns, then went to work burning the brush pile.
Karin went over to help mom with her back problem, Ruth and Anni carefully laid mom down while Karin worked on her back and when she was finished the sharp pain had dissipated. Later mom sat out on her deck and watched the kids work on the movie trailer for David Jacob's new book. Tyler was in this, I think he is one of the bad guys by looking at his makeup.

David's book is about a virus that turns people into something like Tyler in his make-up. I'm not sure what his wife Samantha was thinking when he walked in like that.
All the laundry was done today. That job is such a temporary job, as tomorrow there will be more. Later Mark and I had to go unhook the old truck from the Exiss trailer and take measurements for a lady from Brimfield. They want to come tomorrow to see if it will fit on their truck. It became really hot and humid this afternoon and this heat spell is going to last a while with rain moving in on Monday. Mark got Evan's pasture mowed this afternoon and Evan was locked off. He will need to stay locked off until we get rain and the pasture bounces back.
