Anna AND Hadassah

The SUN is shining! What a difference that bright round yellow ball makes when the clouds are not obscuring it's light. Not only did the sun shine, it warmed us up from 32 degrees to 54. It was so nice and warm outside I left the patio door wide open while I went to work to the barn to work and then took Easter Bonnet and Ella Skye over to the cabin field to keep Sheena company and bring back Foxy to watch for her pending delivery. That didn't work out too well. When I got home and walked into the house there were 3 dogs making themselves at home in the living room. Ebby, Diane's dog, brought Sarah Reinhard's dog Kabur over and I can just imagine her saying to him, "lay down here, when the people get home they are always glad to see visitors and bring out the treats." and that was exactly what I did. It also didn't work to bring Foxy over. I put her in the field with Star and Missy as those three are the next mares due and Foxy decided she didn't like Star and started chasing her, then whirling and kicking out. Star is much to heavy in foal to have to run so Foxy was taken back to the cabin field to live with Sheena who was actually missing her anyway. Anna, Hadassah and Soul along with their 3 foals were turned out into the pond pasture so each one could be teased. The foals had a ball playing together. Below is Hadassah's filly as she is running across the dam. She is exactly a month old today.
Anna's colt, Luka took off running across the dam right after her. He is such a fancy mover.
The resident pair of geese were not happy that the foals were coming to their side of the pond.
The two pictures below are of Hadassah's filly as she struts her stuff. galloping up and down the hill with her tail straight up into the air.

This filly also has very very nice movement and is non fading black color. She is 75% Friesian but looks 100%. Soul's colt just couldn't contain himself and was galloping around throwing himself into the air.

Below is my favorite picture of the morning. This is Luka, Anna's colt by Valiant. He was posing perfectly and I loved the lighting.
The real reason I let them into this pasture was to tease them with Evan and it worked. Both Anna and Hadassah started to show. Anna was covered first by Valiant then Hadassah was covered by Evan. The mares and foals were locked back off the pond pasture as I will need to tease Rosalie tomorrow.  Both Anna and Hadassah stood well. Jury will be covered tomorrow morning if she is still showing. She was still in today.
The video below was actually taken yesterday when Rhoda and Sarah were here with baby Zion. She was laughing so cute at the balloon.
Braelyn came over this afternoon to help grandma with the feeding and bringing the mares in from the field that need to be stalled this evening. She had her spring concert today and was dressed up for that so of course we needed to take some pictures.
She found one of those stick on jewels so modeled outside.
Now that the siding is done, Mark put the clothes line back up. What a pleasure it was to hang laundry outside in the sunshine to dry.
This evening Spark, Rhonda, Mike, Diane, Mom, Ruth, Joan, Rachel, Sarah, Mark and I went to Skylines for communion. We missed that when it was served in Peoria as it was Mike Meister's wedding. Of course a bunch of the Hodels were also there tonight for the same reason.
